The house is located just 1 km from the center of Bonnieux, one of the perched villages of the Golden Triangle of the Luberon. From the house you can walk directly onto the trails of the Luberon Regional Natural Park, or take a short trip to the village of Lourmarin, only 15 minutes away by car (the drive is beautiful!). Create unforgettable memories surrounded by family and friends. The Bastide is located 1 hour from Avignon TGV station (2h40 from Paris), 35 minutes from Aix-en-Provence and 1 hour from Marseille Airport. DESCRIPTION Upon entering the house, on your left you will find the Framboise Suite, with a 160 x 200 cm bed and two 90 x 200 cm beds, opening onto a terrace facing the chess area. The suites and bedrooms have been carefully decorated by Bronner Architecture Studio and colored with paints from Maison Ressource and artworks by artist Elka Leonard, giving each room its own personality. They are located in different wings of the house to preserve privacy and open onto the garden and terraces on the ground floor. On your right is the laundry room, followed by a corridor with a guest toilet, and the Romarin Suite overlooking the garden. The corridor then leads to the Citron Suite, passing through the very large dining room that opens onto the terrace where memorable lunches can be organized. A 3.5-meter dining table awaits you for meals, working together during the day, or playing board games while enjoying the warmth of the fireplace. Next comes the kitchen, one of the liveliest rooms in the house. People gather here to cook, enjoy a drink or have a coffee. The heart of the house, it is fully equipped with high-end appliances so you can cook anything you wish. The rooms are spacious and there is plenty of seating, both inside and out. There are plenty of facilities and the pool is large and deep at both ends. Provided you can manage a hill you can walk into the village, where there are several restaurants and you can buy freshly baked bread. The kitchen is good and there are two dishwashers. ##### John L. Plenty of places around the property for outdoor gathering, well-equipped kitchen. The 2 refrigerators and dishwashers were helpful. We had Chef Ronald cook one night - best meal we had in France. It’s hard to tell from the listing it there are 4 bedrooms on the main floor, each with their own bath. There are also a variety of games and activities available onsite. The neighbouorhood is quiet and has miltiple walking trails in the local neighbourhood. The villa is a pleasant walk from the village of Bonnieux, with a good butcher, boulangerie and small. mini market with excellent fresh fruits and vegetables for meal supplies. From the beginning, the communication with Karine and Jessy (her property manager) was great. She was really responsive to questions we had, and shared a very informative handbook with us that had so many suggestions for things to do in the area. You can tell that Karine pays attention to the details, and this is what makes Bastide de Bonnieux such a lovely place to stay. The property is such an amazing place for family to come together and play. There are so many opportunities to do things on the property itself, that it can be hard to balance getting out and seeing the area with relaxing and having fun at the bastide itself. It’s a community building and family-oriented property that brings people together in conversation and play. There are so many different places to hang out and move to in the property that you never feel bored or like you’ve been sitting and looking at the same thing for too long. There is a ping-pong table situated right between the outdoor eating area and outdoor couch area that became a fun way for people to come together and play. There is a shed which has 7 bicycles that you can use to bike around the country roads (or bike into town if you are fit enough to bike back uphill). There is a badminton or volleyball net, a basketball hoop, a petanque court, a huge chess board, a small soccer pitch for kids, etc. It’s a 15-17 minute walk into the central ‘plaza’ of Bonnieux, or a 5 minute drive. You can bike down to the village, but biking back up is a bit harder on the legs and you’ll have to be fairly fit to not walk for parts of it. There is a great little store in town that sells great produce and a few staple items. There is also a nice little bakery for bread and croissants. Overall, the Bastide de Bonnieux is a gem of a place! We loved our time there and made so many great memories together as a family. The house has everything: plenty of indoor space, bedrooms that offered privacy, multiple outdoor hang-out spaces, plenty of games and recreation resources to keep everyone entertained and laughing. We highly recommend it and cannot speak highly enough about Karine, Jessy and the level of detail that goes into making a place so intentionally catered to visitors.
