Perched upon a 1.6 acre knoll, with wonderful views of Stratton Mountain, this iconic home is located just a short drive to the Stratton Base Lodge and the Stratton Sun Bowl - perfect for a family getaway! This bright home is everything a Vermont home should be. Featuring unique architecture, A-frame like cathedral ceilings, 2 wood burning fireplaces and sun filled rooms, you'll enjoy relaxing after a day on the slopes. There are beautiful mountain and forest views visible from each room and the open beam ceiling, natural wood accents, and mountain decor all come together for a perfect mountain home feeling. Each bedroom has its own en-suite bath in addition to a half bath with stacked washer/dryer. A large master suite, guest bedroom and bunk room make this a great home for families. From this location, you'll be able to participate in everything the resort area has to offer from winter recreation to summer events, concerts and the arts. In the warmer summer months, there is hiking, biking, kayaking, and paddle boarding, as well as scenic tours, the Bromley Adventure Center and local farmers markets. This is a perfect property for a group of two families staying together at Stratton Mountain. We had 4 boys comfortably in the bunk room and there are 2 separate living rooms on the first and second floors. Normally, we don't communicate that much with our host but we got over 2 feet of snow during our stay and need brooms, shovels, and so on... and communication with David was awesome. The house is beautiful and the views are great. I can imagine in the winter this would be a spectacular location for skiing, particularly since you can see Stratton from the deck. The only issue was weather related - we stayed during a heat wave where outside temps were above 90, so the house was warm, although tower fans helped.
