"The pool was closed and has been for some time as they are rebuilding it. This was not advertised when booking nor was it communicated to us afterwards. Bike hire and meals also need to be arranged the day before , again this wasn't communicated to us when booking or when speaking to the reception on the phone prior to arriving. It's a lovely village but I think it's not ok to advertise facilities that aren't available as this was a big reason why we chose it. I would definitely go again though...
"This hotel was clean and centrally located. Please be aware that they charge 7euros per luggage if you need luggage storage ahead of your check-in. Also, be aware that rooms do not have mini fridges, and some rooms have old and weak A/C units."
"Very nice recent room, great view on the pool and mountains - in a remote area. The small spa section is nice, but jacuzzi still out of service. Breakfast varied depending on number of guests staying, but was good both days. Very friendly staff. Gym equipment very minimal. Would stay again"

"Property is nice and in a quiet area which means really far away from anything. Our family had a car, so we made daily trips out of this hotel, the main Highway/Freeway was about 15-20 mins away. "

"The scenes are brilliant and I'd recommend the hotel for any big racing fan. The staff were very welcoming and the staffs at the bar and restaurant were friendly and helpful. Not related to the hotel is the location being situated 'far' from major urban areas with relatively difficult connectivity transport wise. Many Uber riders would refuse to accept a lift and some would offer their own terms if they were to accept a ride. "
"Love Monchique resort & spa, clean, staff are very welcoming especially Pedro the guest relations manager. Very big room with 2 bathrooms & a great view with a terrace. Full amenities in the room just missing a washing machine for the clothes. 2 pools & a gym with fitness classes. Beautiful surroundings, great hotel, I would definitely suggest it or even go back, thank you Monchique resort & spa, we loved our stay the Pereira family!"
