About the area

Nestled on the picturesque Isle of Anglesey in north-west Wales.

Tucked away amidst rolling green hills and enveloped by breathtaking natural scenery, Hermon, is a hidden gem that offers a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of some of the coastal villages, and yet is located just 3 miles from the coast and stunning Aberffraw beach and Malltraeth Estuary.

With its rich history, tranquil surroundings, and warm community spirit, it is the perfect destination for travellers to experience the true essence of rural Welsh life.

The area is popular with nature enthusiasts and guests seeking peace and tranquillity. Surrounded by lush countryside, the hamlet provides a perfect backdrop for long walks, leisurely bike rides and picnics amidst nature.

Despite its small size, the village boasts a rich heritage. The historic St. Aelhaearn's Church, dating back to the 12th century, stands as a testament to the area's deep-rooted history. Exploring the church's ancient architecture and tranquil churchyard is a journey back in time, allowing visitors to connect with the past and admire the craftsmanship of bygone eras.

Exploring Anglesey

While Hermon itself is a great destination, its location on the Isle of Anglesey opens up a world of exploration. Anglesey is renowned for its stunning coastal landscapes, dotted with sandy beaches, dramatic cliffs, and hidden coves. Visitors can embark on coastal walks, visit historic sites such as Beaumaris Castle, or simply relax on the shores of the Menai Strait.

The island's rich biodiversity also makes it a haven for wildlife enthusiasts, with opportunities to spot seals, seabirds, and maybe even dolphins along the coastline.
