We were very happy with Barn Cottage - a lovely, warm, comfortable place to stay. Great views of the nearby lakes and of Bodmin Moor. The grounds were very well kept and dog friendly. Becky and Matthew were friendly hosts, on hand to answer any questions. We really enjoyed our stay and found lots of places to drive to in the area.
We stayed for 5 days and loved the house, the farm and the area around it. The living room upstairs with beautiful views is so inviting! The owners were lovely, we were welcomed with homemade scones! We will definitely be back.
A beautiful peaceful home situated in a perfect setting with plenty of grounds to walk around and enjoy. Fishing seemed to be popular with other holiday folk. A great place for couples and or, families. The owners are wonderful and the accommodation had everything we needed and more. We were made to feel at home instantly. You can purchase home baked Pasties, scones and cakes all available to order, which I would highly recommend. Parking is plenty and safe.
Surrounded by a great choice of further walks on Bodmin Moors, the freedom to loose yourself and enjoy the fresh air is just perfect. We walked for miles and hardly used our car. The local village of St Brewards is a pleasant 20-25 min walk and the local pub, The Old Inn, is fabulous...great food and offers a real Cornish Inn ambience. The location of East Rose is brilliant as you’re situated in the middle of coastlines. All so easy to access.
Fantastic stay, beautiful location and great hosts
We had a fantastic weeks stay with 2 small children, the barn was brilliant and well equipped
The grounds are well kept and lots of walks capable.
The Becky and Matthew were brilliant and even helped me charge my electric car when I was struggling to get to charge points, nothing was too much hassle and were seen regularly around.
Lovely touch was the cream tea on arrival and the barn was very clean.
The location is very remote but local village with a shop and a fantastic pub called ship in That does fantastic food.
Overall it’s a good location if you plan to visit around Cornwall as it’s centrally located to most places
Highly recommend and would love to return at some point
Thank you for a pleasant stay and shame about the weather but you can’t control that :-)
We really enjoyed our stay at East Rose - The Barn was clean, well equipped, comfortable and welcoming. The cream tea waiting for us was especially nice! Great location to explore Bodmin Moor and beyond. Thanks!
