It's hard to get any closer to the river without getting wet! This beauty has a huge covered porch that sits right on the river's edge and a dining nook with that same perspective. In fact, you still feel that close to the river in the large living room as you're enjoying a cozy fire in a real fireplace. There's also a large screen TV with satellite service. There's a nicely equipped kitchen with full size appliances and a laundry room too. The master bedroom is downstairs and it offers a king size bed. The full bath downstairs offers a full size tub/shower. Upstairs, there is another half bath and another bedroom with two twin size beds. The couch in the living room is a sleeper sofa, so this house can take as many as 6 guests. This home is so cozy and private that you might not want to leave, but we are surrounded by the bountiful Willamette National Forest. In fact, the world famous "Three Sisters Wilderness" area is just 15 minutes close and the Pacific Crest Trail is only 40 minutes east. Make sure you hike the Mckenzie River Trail. It is 26 miles of wonder and beauty stretched along the Mckenzie Hwy 126 all the way to Fish Lake, but you can easily take it in series of shorter hikes. Try the section between Sahalie Falls and Carmen Reservoir for something spectacular if you only want a small hike. The jaunt to the Blue Pool is also fairly easy, but watch your step as you progress through an ancient lava flow along the way. The fishing is out of this world and you can definitely fish all day right from our shore, but there are many qualified and pleasant guides available for your maximum fishing experience. Try a white water rafting trip with High Country Expeditions -- they offer half and full day adventures. Soak in one of three hot springs and dine in our three local restaurants. Tokatee Golf Course is open to the public and has been on the list of the nation's top rated public courses since its creation. Horseback riding is now also available at Rainbow Acres. Look up The Willamette National Forest online and you'll find an abundance of information and maps. you'll find enough to do to keep you coming back for generations. Feel free to ask Jonathan if you have any questions.

Gorgeous little cabin right on the river. Tranquil and inviting, this cabin is everything you look for in an escape. We shared laughs and slept well. Definitely recommend.
Simple but nice location on the river. It was cold and rainy during our stay but we were perfectly warm in this cabin. The king size bed was very comfy! Had everything we needed!
This was the perfect place to stay for hiking and biking and being right on the river was a treat. There are so many places to explore so we will be back. We had whole coffee beans, and couldn't find a grinder at the place. The host kindly brought one over for us.
This was the 3rd time we have stayed at this property. Great location, love the deck. Host was very helpful navigating with Wifi and TV. We will come back.
We have traveled from Michigan to gulf shores Alabama, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Vancouver, and I can say this was the cleanest property we've ever stayed at. Such a beautiful location, we did not want to leave Oregon. Go Ducks !
Keep coming back to this property not only for its location but for the simplicity this cabin offers. It's not a name brand luxury resort but you're also left wanting for nothing. Great space and the owners are fantastic people who keep us wanting to rent with them over and over.
Your cabin was so nice and extremely clean, the view was absolutely beautiful and it was so quiet and peaceful, except for the roaring of the river, which we loved. There was everything we needed to cook meals.
We will be back.
Fabulous scenery and river front. Super clean, cozy, and the hosts left absolutely nothing to complain about. I worried that Iād next certain things but I could have packed nothing but my food and clothes, seriously! It was only me there, a personal getaway, but the large master bed was wonderful. Watching the rafters go by was fun. Very good experience.
The setting would be hard to surpass. Took a while to figure out the fireplace, but it worked great. Loved the instant hot water, shower, and the water pressure was a treat. The host went over and beyond as I became confused at checkout and an issue occurred involving the key. Would stay there again in a minute.
You could not get any closer to the river! The view from this home is absolutely amazing from the covered porch area. This home is extremely clean and well stocked. Jonathan is an excellent host with great communication. A great place to stay to explore the area! Would love to come back!
Even though my friend couldn't make it, I enjoyed this peaceful little house. Very clean. Kitchen well stocked for cooking Perfect get an away to rejuvenate. The River right there to enjoy. š
Great little cottage w/activity access to hiking, biking, golfing, hot springs, market & gas w/in minutes. Quick drive from Central Ore or coming from Eugene or PDX. Private, quiet (besides listening to the river) and relaxing. Old 60's Charm, but with modern applicances (fridge, dishwasher, washer & dryer. The dining & the patio tables were wonderful to play card games, have a cuppa coffee, & enjoy the view!
Our family enjoyed our recent stay at River Haven. We had plenty of room for the four of us. The kids loved the outdoor space around the home and mom & dad enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the river flow by.
Kitchen was well stocked and had all the cooking supplies we could have needed. The grill worked well also which was nice.
We spent one afternoon golfing at Tokatee which is a beautiful course and finished it off with picking up some pizza from Takodas restaurant; both are within 5 minutes of the house.
We would stay here again and will recommend to family and friends.
We stayed at this property on some very hot (90+ degrees) days. Even though there was no air-conditioning, its location next to the river and using fans and windows at night ( nighttime temps were in the 50s/60s) kept the temperature manageable. And sitting outside on the deck next to the river was heavenly. Other than the bathroom being on the small side, we enjoyed the amenities and layout.
This is a clean, low frills cabin, with a most excellent deck on the river. Sufficient cooking and grilling amenities. So much surrounding forest has burnt in wildfires in recent years that I was worried about having no buffer from the main road, but it has just enough distance for the small swath of remaining forest to protect it. We loved nearby hikes (blue pool) and river rafting. The owners were quickly responsive to pre arrangements and to our one question during the stay.
We wanted a cozy and peaceful getaway for our 20th anniversary, and a "basecamp" for exploring the McKenzie River area. This fit the bill and was exactly as depicted in vrbo. The place is right on the river and we enjoyed having coffee in the morning and reading with the river nearby. The kitchen had everything we needed. The king bed was great--we both slept really well. We especially enjoyed the fireplace in the evenings; it added much warmth and coziness.
This place isn't fancy, but we were looking for comfortable and a central location for our budget. My husband is already wanting to go back next year.
It really was perfect! We were taking my sweet daughter back to UO for her sophomore year. It was a great place to stop spending a restorative evening on the porch, watching the river and just talking. My husband even had time for a little fly fishing.
Then, an easy hour drive to our destination. After a day of moving in and errands and good byes, we enjoyed our beautiful drive back to the cabin which was extremely cozy, clean and had all the amenities you could want.
It turned what could have been more of a chore into a mini vacation. We look forward to staying there again.
