Had a lovely time at Denise’s riverside cabin. Cozy place had everything we needed to cook meals, it was a short drive to soak at the fabulous Terwilliger hot springs, and what a delight to fall asleep to the sounds of the river. Can’t wait to come back
My brother in law and his wife helped us move up here, this rental was a thank you. They are modest people who were a bit leery of a fancy rental from the internet so I was happy to find this little gem. They were over the moon about the coziness of the cabin, the amenities and especially the river view. Now they are hoping to come back up and stay there again.
My boyfriend and I rented this enchanting cabin in the woods for Valentines weekend. It was perfect. The gorgeous relaxing river veiw with wrap around porch with chairs to relax in, cozy fireplace with river view and great location close to two hot springs and Sahalie falls. Highly recommend and we will definitely be visiting again in the summer. Our only negative was the dirty toilet bowls but we can live with that lol.

Important to know before you stay
The setting of this cabin is amazing! Right on the river with river access and a place to sit with a fire pit. There was information left out of the listing that would be important to know when deciding to rent this place. First, the owner didn’t contact us with check in information, I arrived and had to message her through the app and then she responded asking me to call her to get the info, luckily it was not late at night. The inside of the house was actually quite well cared for, I think that the toilets are old and the water has been sitting for a long time as everything seemed to have been recently cleaned. The original owner of the house has his stuff left in place as if he walked out one day and never came back, there are prescriptions in the cabinets from 2001, expired food in the fridge and cupboards from early 2000’s, garbage under the beds, clothing in the closets, and family information/paperwork all throughout the home. Most Important to know, there are human graves throughout the property and one of them says that the original owner was murdered. It turns out that the person whose prescriptions were in the home belonged to the person who was murdered by a neighbor on the property. I think this could be remedied by being sure to put in the ad that there are human graves present and to remove all of the owners personal and expired effects. It was a very uncomfortable experience to be in his private space after he was murdered outside.
Very Cozy space, private. it is right next to the river with access. host was available and helpful for check in and directions.

This home is warm and welcoming. It is well supplied and clean. The river is nearby and is soothing to see and hear from the cabin. The host was helpful. A lovely stay and we hope to come again.
Very fun place to stay! Beautiful property! Enoyed having the river right there, and the house was well stocked with everything you could need. Plenty of space. Would definitely stay again!
I grew up in Eugene and spent many days on the McKenzie River. We’ve been out of state for many years now but still come back to Oregon as often as we can. This was the perfect property to enjoy reminiscing with some of our grown children. Very cozy setting and everything we needed. We caught one of the Pineapple Express storms that I remember growing up and even had a long power outage where we enjoyed the wood stove and improvising. The host was helpful throughout our stay and kept us updated on the power outage. The sound of the river was so therapeutic! The only drawback really was not having more time…we’ll definitely be coming back!
No instructions. Had to contact host for check in & check out. Amenities needed maintenance, i.e. wood burning stove, lack of hot water for bath/shower, loosely attached towel bar (fell off wall easily); lack of amenities (no washcloths or dishrags for one)

Rustic getaway
This was a nice rustic and homey cabin. It reminded me of my grandmothers cabin. Excellent location close to waterfall, bluepool and hotsprings! Cant beat right in the Mackenzie River!
Excellent value for the price! Spacious, private, and incredibly peaceful. Having the river just steps from the back door was absolutely amazing. We’re definitely coming back."
This property was awesome, and the river behind with the sitting area was amazing, one thing I could suggest is to put the address on the roadside as we could not initially find the driveway in. Other than that, beautiful place, thank you
Very nice. Just what we wanted with river access so our mini-Aussie could run down for a victory dunk after fetching like a madman in the backyard Chairs riverside let one of us read by the river and catch his long leash trailing as he jumped into his favorite pool. Just short of a pleasant rapids. Scott lake on scenic highway was a blast swimming and fetching. And hot springs and so on. Thanks!
