"Everything was ok"

"There were mixed reviews, but we decided to give it a shot. The motel is older and needs updating, but what was concerning was that it was dirty and gross. There were stains all over the sheets, many spots on the carpet, and the floor we stayed on was non-smoking. We could smell smoke while walking down the hall and in our room. The bathtub looked like it hadn't been cleaned; the bottom was dark. Walking down to the pool, there were lots of spills and stains on the walls and carpet. The pool was down 3 sets of stairs, and the elevator was out of service. Down at the pool, the concrete steps were damaged and cracked, making them easy to cut yourself on. There was insulation falling off an air duct. Several used Band-Aids were lying by the pool in a pile of dirt that looked like it had been there for a long time. We decided it wasn't the place for us. We were told that the staff would refund our money, but then they backed out of that. Hotels.com said there is nothing they can do. They've tried to contact management and they will not respond I don't know why they keep doing business with this motel. I have 56 pics of the condition of this place and will gladly share them."
