This was our 2nd time staying at this cabin. The game room is a favorite for the kids with a pool table, Foosball and Keyboard. We love that the cabin comes equipped with plenty of extra pillows and blankets, and a blow up mattress. The cabin was beautiful and had an amazing view off the large back deck. We loved the wood burning fireplace on the side porch along with the two gas fireplaces inside. The jetted garden tub was a wonderful way to relax at the end of the day. The gas grill worked perfectly with extra fuel which was very nice. The game room downstairs was lots of fun! A wonderful restful retreat. Well appointed and we enoyed the views and pool table/foosball. Only dissapointment was the lack of a well screened-in porch which would have been nice since it was bee season in the area. Of note: complaints from previous guests h.ad all been addressed and "fixed" so they really do pay attention to the property and the reviews. The place is lovely but, it suffers from serious neglect. We had to walk through numerous spiderwebs as we made our way through the building. Along with the spiders, there are lots of dead bugs. The batteries in the tv remotes were dead. The outdoor spaces were covered in months worth of leaves and grime. We had to find a broom and sweep away the accumulated leaves and debris on the deck and wipe down the furniture before we could sit outside and enjoy the view. The place advertised a screened porch, one of the reasons we selected this unit. But the porch lacks a door which renders it open to bugs and debris. All of the outdoor cushions show significant signs of wear and tear. To stem the decline of this property, a property manager should visit and create a punch list of repairs. Not necessarily detrimental to our enjoyment of the property, but it should be noted that there is evidence of carpenter bees boring holes in the exterior, weeds are growing from the gutters, several seasons of leaves have accumulated and are decaying on the outside stairs, and there is trash on the hillside at the rear of the property. ##### Michael C. The toilet on the bottom level does not work at all and needs to be repaired or replaced. The plumbing in that shower is reversed… works just fine but a note indicating that it is reversed would be helpful. We have a 4 wheel drive SUV, and had no issues, but people with smaller cars could struggle, especially if it was bad weather. This should be explicitly stated in the listing. ##### Christina B. The listing was as advertised with the exception of some needed TLC on the outside (all wood surfaces needed sanded and restained badly). The grounds needed needed cleared trimmed and mowed) and the main view of the valley off the desk was mostly blocked by over grown trees (needed trimmed down about 10 feet). ##### Tony B. Cabin was perfect for a 22nd anniversary for just the two of us but would also be perfect for I'd say up to six would be pushing it (Family of 4 No problem)...The view from the cabin I could see the entire Blue Ridge Mountain Range...The first 100 yards of the road up was a bit sketchy but after that it opened up and was a piece of cake...Deer we're everywhere...! The fireplaces worked well, the billards table was nice and it was peaceful. Roughly 10-12 minutes to get down the mountain road and then about 10 more minutes and you're in downtown blue ridge...What can I say...??? I have nothing negative to say about this cabin. If I was gng to say anything they need to add dresser drawers so you don't have to live out of your suitcase....Other than that move the grill on the deck and it's all good. ##### mark b. View was accurate but the pictures in the listing failed to show the current condition of the house. Rotten wood all around. Screen doors torn and barely holding together. No decor. Outdated TVs with no cable or satellite. Floors and walls badly scratched up. Fireplace fan so loud you couldn’t talk over it. Will not rent this one again. ##### Randy P. It didn’t feel homie, felt like it was furnished a step above the bare minimum. There was not a lot of character. Its on a shared well, so there are signs saying conserve water and it made you feel rushed and worried about the other house not having water. There was a lack of amenities. Small beds. But my wife’s disappointment with the lack of features in the home is why it gets 3 stars. But, the view is a 5 star view! It’s worth 5 stars alone. ##### jeremy e.
