Perfect for hikers, the cabin offers many nearby roads and trails to take in Mother Nature's offerings. You'll find the circular driveway is the perfect morning stroll and just down the driveway, you'll find roads that capture the amazing views of the mountains and the lake. The cabin is just six miles from downtown Blue Ridge and minutes from the Toccoa River and all the land and water activities the Aska Adventure Area has to offer. Aska means 'winter retreat' in the Cherokee language, but Cozy View is spectacular year-round, with breezes to cool you in summer as you sunbathe or stargaze on the deck, and two covered screened-in porches to shelter you as you enjoy the mountain air. The recently renovated real 16' chink log home, with its vaulted ceiling and wooden beams, has windows on three sides that flood the main areas with light and the beauty of Mother Nature. The interior is a professionally decorated mix of antiques blended with a modern flair, with updated colors and design elements and locally crafted accents. The view was beautiful, and the place itself was clean. Although not a deal breaker, it is worth noting that although there were a couple servings of things like dishwasher detergent and soaps, other things like spices, creamer, sugar, weren't available or we never found them. We eventually found the salt and pepper. I only say this so if you are staying longer than a weekend be prepared to bring all that wih you or buy in the town. And it is very well kept. We enjoyed it very much, it is not too far from town, but far enough that you feel way out in woods. It was near a lot of the rafting, horseback, hiking and places to shop. Woke up in a cloud Friday morning but skies soon cleared resulting in a beautiful sunset and sunrise the next morning. Great place for a weekend get a way for me and my wife. Accommodations would allow for two more people as long as they want to share a bed. Sharing cabin with another couple might be a little awkward as there is only one shower. Private cabin with a cozy million dollar view. One of the best porches to rock away the hours and decompress we have ever had the opportunity to enjoy.
