The Cherokee of the southern Blue Ridge Mountains enjoyed life to the fullest until the early 1800s. The high ranges surrounding them offered protection so they could focus on hunting, fishing, farming, and trading. We welcome you to Blue Ridge to discover the rich history of the area and dream of days gone by. Explore the area and you may discover a long lost arrowhead! When you first enter the cabin you are surrounded in rich, warm, wood tones. The comfortable furnishings beckon you to sit awhile. The panoramic mountain views will give you pause. The updated kitchen is perfect for making memories. Soak in the hot tub right off the main floor bedroom. Enjoy a glass of wine on one of the decks or terrace. Of course, don't forget to sit around the firepit and roast some marshmallows! We invite you to discover life at a different pace. Slow down and dream a little. Cherokee Dreamer's Den is a tastefully appointed 2 bedroom (plus loft), 3 bathroom cabin that sleeps up to six (6) and offers the following: King bedroom on the LOWER level with 36" flat-screen TV with Preferred Plus TV package and BluRay DVD player Lower level bathroom tub/shower combo King Master on UPPER OPEN LOFT level with a private bathroom with walk-in shower and jetted tub, private deck and 36" flat-screen TV with Preferred Plus TV package Queen bedroom on the MAIN level with deck access and 46" flat-screen TV with Preferred Plus TV package Full bathroom on the MAIN level tub/shower combo The living room has a wood-burning fireplace (wood fireplace only active Oct. 1st - Apr. 1st, during this time a starter bundle of firewood is provided) 60" flat-screen Smart TV with Preferred Plus TV package Game room on the LOWER level with 32" flat-screen TV, pool table and ping pong table Eight (8) person Hot Tub, swing, and rocking chairs located on the MAIN level deck WiFi Propane Grill All paved roads Screened porch on the MAIN level Firepit (firewood not provided) Not Pet-Friendly All of our cabin rentals are fully furnished and include a minimum of the following unless otherwise stated in the listing: Fully equipped kitchen: Refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, glassware, utensils, cutlery, pots, and pans. Linens for each bed, 2-bath towels, 1-hand towel, 1-washcloth per person listed on guest list, dresser or closet for clothing storage, central heat & air, washer/dryer, vacuum and/or broom and dustpan, mop, internet, and propane gas grill. In addition, we provide a complimentary start-up supply of Toilet Tissue (1 roll per bathroom), 1- roll paper towels, 4- kitchen garbage bags, dishwasher detergent, dishwashing liquid and laundry detergent for at least 2 loads. Many of our cabins include more than this basic list of inventory items. The only items you'll need to bring will be food, beverages, and condiments. Great location, inspiring views, private setting. I was disappointed that the hot tub was not working properly and it was impossible to use due to the excessive use of chemicals. We couldn't breathe when we got in as the chemical vapors were overpowering. It's unfortunate as the outdoor hot tub was an important amenity for us. Otherwise all else was excellent. It's well furnished and the beds are very comfortable. Lots of room to move around. Staff was great and very accommodating. They returned calls in a timely manner and reached out during our stay to see if there is anything we needed. Children 17 & 20 years old. The view was breathtaking. We enjoyed a few evenings in the hot tub, sitting by the fire outside and playing some pool and ping pong. We also liked how close it was to downtown Blue Ridge. There are only few critiques 1) the master bedroom being an open loft did not allow for much privacy. 2) the living room floor did not appear as if it was vacuumed as we saw m&m’s and crumbs by sofa and under table. 3) hot tub had hair. So cleaning could be better. My husband and I stayed at “Cherokee Dreamers Den” and had the joy of seeing the beautiful North Georgia Mountains for an entire week! We take a summer family trip with our children, then a much calmer fall trip to the mountains to keep our marriage alive, young and fresh. We get so busy these days that we don’t make time for each other and this allows us to pause life and make time for US. So in this process, we look for places that are higher up on the mountain with a view, secluded and less trafficked, and Fall Foliage peak. Initially I started with needing to contact the owner because we pack everything prior to coming from belongings to groceries to firewood. We couldn’t figure out if the fireplace was gas or wood burning (last year we carried wood for a gas fireplace) I inquired and the owner responded very quickly (huge A+ because I am a “know now kind of person”) \*it is a wood burning fireplace and they are so sweet to provide you with some starter logs. This year we timed it perfect! We stayed 11/1-11/7 and the colors were absolutely beautiful! We saw the trees change colors our entire stay from start to finish. (Usually we hit the 2nd week and miss the bright colors) We saw a mature wild turkey, several deer, and feel like we heard a bear (but that one’s unknown) The view is outstanding, wish some of the trees were trimmed down some where you could see a touch wider view but again the view is perfect. Our weather was great. Cool/dry, rained one day. Had fog one day but the way it laid on the mountains looked really cool! The cabin was smaller than what we have stayed at in the past but absolutely the perfect size for what we needed plus room if you plan to have guests! It was so clean and very comfortable. We noticed a little more traffic than we usually get when we stay in the mountains but it’s not bad. Great location, there’s an outside fire pit and a hot tub (we didn’t utilize because I’m still recovering from surgery) kitchen was stocked which was nice because I forgot butter so having Pam was a great substitute, bathrooms had heaters which I loved because I don’t like being cold after showers, the game room downstairs was fun. Only thing I would say is they have nice tv’s, however it would be nice if they were smart tv’s so guests could log into their services like Redbox or Netflix ect and watch their shows/a movie. We learned there is not a lot on tv during the week/late and despise commercials. Great stay overall! ##### LeAnn W. The property manager provided thorough information about the stay and directions to the property. The house was very clean! The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and various spices. The House was perfect for our stay. I felt there were a couple things that need mentioning: 1.The refrigerator ice maker did not work after emptying the bin. 2\. The coffee pot needs attention. The coffee was never hot enough and it’s set to auto turn off was set at 1hour, should be longer. 3\. we were left two dish towels for a four day stay.
