Upstairs, there is a fully equipped kitchen, dining& spacious living room\~ with views over the garden, as well as a bedroom with double or twin beds and a bathroom with bath and shower. Downstairs there is a large open plan garden room, with a laundry area, a work desk and two single beds (can also be adapted to a second double if required). Private terrace for outdoor dining & relaxing, bothe outside dining table and chairs and lounge chars and sofa \~ a double hammock between the trees, and a free standing BBQ for you to use. The cottage is only 500 metres to the village square, where the fetes are held \~ weekly night food markets with concerts on Wednesdays for 6 weeks each summer, with a huge choice of food stands and live music and long rows of tressle tables for everyone to mingle together to sit and eat. Also, only 800 metres to the 50 ha nature reserve \~ with it's 7 ha swimming lake, an cornered off shallow are for toddlers, a lifeguard during the summer; as well as a cafe, showers, new kid's playground, tennis courts and lovely hiking trails and circuits. Many local activities; horse riding, hiking trails, mountain biking, farmers' markets, gastronomy, wine-tasting, chateaux visits. It's the beautiful entre deux mers region where you can explore bastide medeival villages, a rich and lively cultural heritage, wonderful gastronomy. Also an easy hour to Bordeaux by car for a city / culture fix as well. A charming and beautifully renovated cottage in the old stable of the house, with a large open plan living space complete with fully equipped kitchen, dining area and comfortable sitting room. A lovely double bedroom and bathroom complete the first floor and downstairs there's a large cool garden room leading onto a private terrace/patio perfect for outdoor dining. This garden room can easily be used as an art studio or writing space and a desk or worktables can be provided should you need them. Featuring large windows and skylights throughout, this is a bright and beautiful house with views of the garden, many trees and vineyards visible in the far distance. The bedroom can have a double bed OR twin single beds and the large double sofa bed in the main space comes with a very comfortable mattress topper. Both a cot and a single camp bed are available for younger children and babies, so the space can be adapted to best suit your needs in advance of your visit. The staircase has a permanent safety gate fitted on the ground floor, and a second gate is available for the first floor. The downstairs open plan garden room also has two single beds for older children. Electricity and hot water supplied by solar power, so you are encouraged to use all the machines during daylight hours as much as possible. The TV has both ethernet and wifi connection, and there is a good fibre-optic internet connection throughout the space (download 17.2 mbps, upload 36.6 at last test) . There is an orange tv decoder, and a keyboard for easier internet searches and streaming, than using only the remote control. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the owner is on site should you need any other items not already provided. The bathroom has a bath with wall mounted shower and shower curtains.
