Brasstown Bald Getaway story...
Stock up on firewood, food, and drinks, come on up to Brasstown Bald Getaway, put your phone on Do Not Disturb, and treat yourself to a blissful North Georgia retreat.
Tucked into the rolling green landscape that meets the slow-moving Georgia clouds at the horizon, the medium sized cabin is perfect, and has everything you need — as well as plenty of tasteful luxurious touches.
Ideal for couples or intimate groups, this mountainside lodge was designed to be an oasis of peace, pampering, and relaxation deep in nature — yet close enough to towns and activities to ensure you’ll always have exploration and adventure available for when you’re ready to lace up your hiking boots (or flip flops), or put on that nice dress or button-down shirt and head out for a meal or drink.
In my humble opinion, the master bedroom, with its open plan design and jacuzzi tub, is the centerpiece of the cabin, but other SVR staff are all about that deck, bbq, and view… while the chefs among us can’t get enough of that big kitchen with everything you need to cook up a storm. Now that I think of it, the living room is pretty spectacular, too. On one of my visits I sat on that leather rocker thingamajig you see in the photo, and seriously considered just moving in, right then and there.
I don’t know what to tell you: come on up then let me know after where you spent the most time.
The fenced in front yard is pretty nifty if you have roaming doggos and/or kiddos. Both are allowed, but make sure to see the details below.
The lodge is remote enough for you to feel like you’re having a back country woods adventure, but is in fact, close to civilization and many things to do. Blairsville is pretty spectacular, as far as cute Georgia towns go, with lots of great food, local produce, and drink. Helen, the self-proclaimed “Georgia’s Official Outdoor Adventure Destination,” is, well, a great jumping off point for some awesome outdoor adventure, sure, but also has a replica Bavarian alpine village in it, for some reason, that is, admittedly, charming as heck.

You love your doggo, and we’d love to host your furry friend. We charge a $75 cleaning fee per dog, per stay. Cats make us sneeze; please leave them with grandma.
We happily prepare a starter kit for your arrival (5 trash bags under kitchen sink, 1 roll of paper towels per kitchen, 3 rolls of t.p. per bathroom, small bars of body soap) — please anticipate any needs beyond that, and stock up in town or bring with Suds and beans can be very personal choices. Please bring your own laundry detergent and coffee.
You’ll find an ample supply of dish soap, shampoo, conditioner, and hand soap.
Suches Vacation Rentals operates in a beautiful but very remote area of the North Georgia Mountains. Because professional linen services are not available locally, we personally handle all laundering in-house. Each guest is provided with two freshly cleaned towels.
If you find you need extras, you’ll find a set of “seconds” under the bathroom counter. These are clean towels that have been dyed and repurposed to extend their life. While they may show mild wear or faint imperfections, they are freshly washed and perfectly suitable for use.

Loved the cabin. Very quiet and peaceful. View from the porch is incredible. Nice fenced area for our dog. Very nice gas grill on the porch. Will plan to go back there.
Great home base for DeSoto falls and Blood mountain hikes
We hiked both DeSoto falls (easy 1 mile hikes) AND blood mountain (advanced 2-3 hour uphill/steep hike) then completely relaxed in this super clean and cozy cabin less than 15 mins away with a hottub and anything you could need for the night/breakfast overlooking a heavenly view! Great communication and easy entry and exit.

We loved our stay, Joni was communicative and responded to any questions we had. The location is amazing, you have a wonderful view of Brasstown Bald and the surrounding mountains of North Georgia. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed to cook and feel at home. Whenever we go back to the Blairsville area we will definitely check to see if this cabin is available.
This was a perfect cabin for our group of four, secluded in the woods with a spectacular view of the north Georgia mountains. Highly recommend! Short drive to Vogel state park and other hiking trails, but we were tempted to stay in the covered back porch all weekend and soak in the beautiful scenery.
