Our home has cats, dogs, and parrots. It has pet hair. It will be throughly cleaned before your arrival, it will still have pet hair. Our house is a historic contributing bungalow from the 1930's with much of it's original charm. With 3 cozy upstairs bedrooms including a king bedroom, queen bedroom, and twin with twin trundle bedroom. Also upstairs is the only bathroom in the house, (unless you count the sketch 1/2 bath in the basement). Among the charms, are also the realities. This home does not have air conditioning, but has fans and windows on all 4 sides to catch the evening breeze. This welcoming property is perfect for families or friends looking for a lovely place to stay that is close to everything that Blacksburg has to offer: tucked away on a pedestrian-friendly side street, it is only one block from downtown, where you can walk to all the restaurants, coffee shops, bars, shopping, theater, and Virginia Tech campus. (Downtown can be quite noisy on a football weekend, and we are located only one short block away!) Lane stadium is just over 1 mile away, or about 25-30 minutes walking time. There is parking for 2 cars in the driveway, one in front of the other, and you can also park a car on the street with a permit displayed (which is inside the house). While it is an older house, it has plenty of space for a party of 6 - only downside is that there is only one full bathroom so that can get tricky but totally understand based on the age and size of the home. The fenced in yard was nice for the dog who absolutely loved the ducks in the next door neighbor’s yard. The kiddos loved the tire swing in the back as well.
