Returned to the resort after more than 7 years and was really disappointed to see no improvements had been made. The in room dining menu is the smallest I have ever seen and the on site dining options are mediocre. If you’re looking for a getaway with tiny kids I can see the appeal but it is definitely in need of some TLC. If you’re looking for a romantic getaway I would recommend somewhere else.

The view was nice and we have stayed at Fairmont hotels, but this one didn’t measure up. The staff seemed very uninformed and there was poor facilities for coffee or just snacks or a light meal. We felt we were held hostage to your $35 per person buffet. It forced us to leave the hotel for any meal options as we were exhausted from Travel, and there was nothing offered at the hotel that was reasonable. A taxi ride to town and back cost $50. A disappointing stay especially for the price.

We found the hotel to be out dated. Food options were not all available for room service. The rooms with showers over baths is old fashioned and dangerous. The amenities need a refurb and I think a cob web duster would be useful.

Fine. But not as good as it should be
Floors hadn't been cleaned, big cracks in bathroom sink. Kids are given a toy at check in but they didn't give them to ours. Lots of facilities but they aren't well looked after. Kids enjoyed the arcade and soft play but there were often littered with rubbish as there was never a member of staff in sight to oversee. Paid for buffet breakfast on one morning. Food was decent, and quite a lot of choices. However we were told barista made coffee was extra even though both coffee machines were broken. I asked for some instant coffee sachets like in the rooms, and eventually they fixed one machine. Pre-booked afternoon tea, which was large but they only laid the table for 2 rather than the pre-booked 3 people, and it took 15 minutes for them to bring us any water - another 10 minutes after that before the food arrived. There were only 2 other people in the restaurant so they weren't busy. All feels a bit old, run down, and understaffed. Diana and the concierge were great, but takes more than 2 people to run such a large resort.

It's probably great for young families, as it seems to have turned into a place that lots of young families go with small kids, for the ice rink, free kids movies, etc. Just not quite what we were looking for. The surrounds are beautiful, and the room itself was clean enough. But the main areas of the property - lobby, lifts, etc - have all seen much better days, and are in serious need of a refresh and better cleaning, organising and upkeep.

Fairmont Hotels in the USA are wonderful; this property didn't live up to expectations, but it was priced well. The lobby was lovely, my room had a great view (yet decor was underwhelming)& the room service staff was lovely and personable. The kids play area, arcade, outdoor pool area were incredibly outdated -- I would guess this place was awesome back in the early 90's. It's nice that there is a Spa and Golf Course - but this place could be so amazing if they did an renovation.

This would be a great family destination with lots of things for kids. We found it a bit noisy with dogs barking and kids yelling. Had expected a higher level of decor in the rooms which are tired but clean. Staff could do with more training for dining service, check in etc. Found the menus a bit limited.

Hotel was out dates and quite dirty, carpet had several stains and it seems the room need a good dusting. Customer services at Reception was good, very accomodating. The hotel had several restaurants one site all of which where disappointing, portions where tiny and expensive for not very good food. Would not go back.
