"This is a hidden gem. A car is essential as the hotel is in a very pretty but rural area with no other facilities. However the hotel is absolutely first class, the rooms are spacious, airy and well appointed. The hotel restaurant is brilliant with a great selection of local dishes and on Saturday and Sunday a quaint small bar at the front of the hotel where you can sit and watch the occasional cyclist or car go by. "Alice is one of the most kindest hosts I’ve ever met. Going above and beyond does not begin to cover the words needed to describe the experience Alice provided. Before we even arrived, she woke up out of her sleep to assist me. I hadn’t realized the time difference and she still woke up to with some requests needed. She arranged our transportation, she personally took me on a tour guide to the best places in the city near the town’s most known archeological church. Then took me to get some authentic pizza, handmade gelato, and local wine. I mention this because she knew the area and knew transportation was difficult and wanted us to have food for the night. She woke up early and prepared a beautiful and tasteful breakfast for my friends and me. And packed our luggage while we ate said breakfast. I cannot begin to thank her enough for the kindness shown because she turned a day or horrific issues that she did NOT cause into a beautiful night and morning. "Arriving at the ultra modern hotel we were dubious but after easily parking (free) we entered the vast entrance and we were quickly allocated our room with balcony and offered a credit for the spa.
