The cottage was of a good standard and very comfortable. . It was advertised as dog friendly, however there were several restrictions, no toileting in the ‘garden’ no going upstairs, no jumping on furniture (despite it being wipeable vinyl) it is impossible to watch a dog overnight when you are sleeping upstairs and they are downstairs. We were there during a cold spell of weather and were unable to get the log fire going when the heating was off. Fuel had to be purchased by the guests. It would be an ideal break in the summer months, if you were happy to sit out on the front patio, which is not secure. The 5 bar gate is easy for pets to get through unless they were very large dogs. There was no rear access from the property. ##### Lynn Tompkin This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 8/10 Good #### John Holdsworth 8 Apr 2025 #### Wnted to visit locomotion and hadrians wall.
