Good location but noisy

Posted 21-Sep-2017
Pros: Location
Cons: The mattresses.
Location: Centrally located to the Bullring shopping centre and New Street Station
The walls were thin and there was a lot of noise coming from the next room. The mattress was very thin and the bath was stained. On the positive time it was perfectly located right next the station and shopping area.

Tired and in need of serious updating. Worn out carpets and peeling paint. Printer broken so no invoice available and still not emailed out 2 days later.

Good clean quiet overnighter

Posted 17-Sep-2017
Pros: Friendly staff, clean, quiet.
Cons: Internet connection?
Location: City centre Birmingham, a lively friendly cosmopolitan middle-England city.
It was an inexpensive, friendly, clean, comfortable overnight stay in the city centre. Generally quiet except for a short period of return of the excited girls of a Hen Party - but they are forgiven and the new bride wished all good fortune.

Not very nice.

Posted 12-Sep-2017
The only thing we can't fault is that we had a good night sleep. However, the room stunk of cigarette smoke, the windows were so dirty we couldn't see outside, check out is super early, it's very dated, only 2 out of 6 plug sockets worked, tbh I want my money back! We stayed in the Birmingham hotel.

Basic but clean city centre accommodation

Posted 11-Sep-2017
Pros: Fantastic location
Cons: Decor update.
Location: So many places to see and all in easy walking distance. Check out Selfridges, such a fab, iconic exterior. Trendy bars up Colmore Row, The Alchemist
Yes, it is dated in decor and furnishings but it is very clean and so handy being a short stroll from Grand Central and right in the middle of the shopping areas so you can walk everywhere.. Staff were generally civil but not really engaging, except the barman who was lovely, always with a friendly smile and chat. We didn't choose to have breakfast there, £10-15 seems excessive especially when there is so many lovely places on your doorstep.

City centre hotel

Posted 11-Sep-2017
Rooms were fine, but outlook was a flat roof with half eaten pizza and cigarette ends scattered over it. Hotel was a little disappointing. Key card system a joke-I received 3 cards before one finally allowed access to my room. I wasn't the only person having problems. Receptionist not very helpful and check in was painfully slow
