My husband and I stayed at the Hilton and were not impressed. Where do I start… First and foremost, the hotel accommodates to the cruise ships that come is almost daily over their own guests, even though we pay more to stay there. If a carnival cruise comes in, the beach is overcrowded. If a Virgin cruise ship comes in, hotel guests have no access to the beach and pool at all because they restrict it to cruise passengers only. Unreal! They cater to the ships over their own guests. Beach towels were readily available when the ships were there, but when we asked for them the next day (no cruise ship that day) they didn’t have any clean towels at all! What do you know? Same with the beach, if no cruise ship, then no drink stand. Only bar service. There were people walking around the beach taking drink orders. We asked two different staff members (Enisha and another male) about refills, which we got the day prior from the stand. They told us to hold on while they went to ask. Unfortunately, neither of them returned or bothered to answer our question. We were completely ignored. Also, because the cruise ship was not there that day, they had a landscaping blower constantly going off while we were trying to relax on the beach. We were made to feel like second-class citizens.
Room doors don’t close properly.
Trash left everywhere by the rooftop pool.
Main shower head did not work properly.
Be sure you take the resort ferry directly to the hotel from the south pier.
