The rooms were nice with tall ceilings. However, the tall ceilings meant it was built with little insulation between floors. Yes, that means every step your upstairs neighbor took pounded through to your room below. I would suggest a top floor room, if that is an option. It's also concerning that the price of the room was 50% higher than a room outside of Philly or Boston for similar hotel (in one case both hampton's). This shouldn't be the case for Buffalo, but it fit our driving schedule the best. Other than that, the pool looked nice, it was within walking distance of a pizza place, and was an easy drive to Niagra Falls. The rooms themselves were good sized for the type and the staff were courteous. They do warn you about where to park, so please pay attention to that. This is not a downside of them, or the area, just a bad neighbor.

We stayed for one night after spending a few days in Canada, as we wanted to visit the New York side of Niagara Falls before heading home. The hotel is quaint, conveniently located, and our rooms were clean. We had reserved two rooms for four adults. When we arrived after 7:00 p.m., one room was ready, while the second required additional cleaning, so we had dinner at the restaurant across the parking lot while we waited. (Alton’s) The room I stayed in included a microwave, mini refrigerator, and TV, and the bed was comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was wonderful. The only minor drawback was that the pillows were quite small and resembled decorative throw pillows rather than standard-sized bed pillows. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and found it to be a comfortable option for a one-night visit.
