What a wonderful little slice of the world. Check-in was easy, the property was wonderful, and we made memories that will last a lifetime. The sunsets are absolutely stunning. Thank you for sharing this great property, and we hope to return again.
The cottage was great! Sitting on the deck looking out over the river was the perfect way to start and end the day. Nice touch to provide firewood! The cottage was clean and comfortable for 4 adults. It had everything we needed for the weekend.
Great views of the water.Nice house in very quiet area. House was clean and comfy. Kayaks are a nice bonus. Definitely recommend. Will be booking in the future.
The Kirk family of 5 had an amazing short getaway and loved every minute of our stay. The cabin was perfect for us. We used the row boat to fish and caught a few nice bass. We used the canoe, kayaks & peddle boat cruise around & explore the Muskegon river. We loved having a bonfire each night and roasting s’mores. We went into Newago one day and highly eating at the New-ago Brewery. Played some cards, bags, and just relaxed. Kitchen is fully stocked; note, just need to bring keurig coffee cups. We used the grill for hamburgers & chicken and loved eating on the deck. Can’t say enough great things about this place.
We thoroughly enjoyed the cottage. It has the best view of the river and sunsets. We had a lot of fun kayaking and boating on the river and seeing all the nature. The cottage is a cute set up and lots of outdoor spaces.
This cottage was small but had everything we needed and the perfect view. Loved how we were able to use the paddleboats or kayaks right on the river. The host was responsive and very accommodating. We really enjoyed our time here. Thank you!
Beautiful property, large open lot to the right for privacy. Amazing views and we Loved the paddle boat and row boat. Cabin was perfect for a family of four, very cute inside! Will rent again
Loved our stay at this property! The location is great, secluded, and also close to town. My husband and I loved enjoying time on the deck, all the water toys, and fishing. Hope to visit again! Don't hesitate to book!
Beautiful place on the water front. Peaceful, quiet, perfect little spot. We enjoyed taking the kayaks and row boat out. Very nice views of tge sunsets. Fire pit at night was also very relaxing
Very clean property with waterfront access down a flight of stairs built into the bluff. Kayaks, etc easily accessible and ready to launch with plenty of space to lay out and read on the dock. Fire pit and covered eating area overlooking the water were perfect for every meal! Owners were very easy to communicate with. Will definitely be visiting again!
Relaxing few days... We enjoyed the rustic but updated cottage. Kayaking was great! Really everything we needed in a somewhat remote location but not to far from civilization.
I would do it again!
It was a cute little house that was perfect for our family of 4. House was very clean. Area is quiet and the water was really clear. Not that much boat traffic either. Kids had fun jumping off the pier and using the paddle boat. Owners were quick to answer any questions that we had. Would definitely stay again.
My family and I enjoyed our stay. It was a small house, byt perfect for our family. We enjoyed the lake with the kayaks and paddle boat. The wild life we got to see was beautiful. There was a family of bats that we got to listen to and watch play at night a couple times. The kids enjoyed everything. Thanks again!!
The house was on a bluff on the lake. It was clean and comfortable. It was sufficiently stocked and the owner let us know what to bring before we got there. The fishing was tremendous from the provided paddle boat. We used Rebel Wee Craws in chartreuse and orange. We spent most of our time around the lily pad beds. There was a canoe, row boat, and kayaks, too. The neighbors were friendly and even though it was Labor Day weekend, it did not get rowdy. We saw bald eagles, swans, and black squirrels. We hope to return.
This property continues our string of great luck when it comes to VRBO properties. Right by the water, perfect spot for bluegill fishing, and exactly as advertised. You are also close enough to Big Rapids to go and get some supplies.
Definitely recommend if you are looking to get away.
We had such an amazing stay. The house was perfect and very clean. Excellent location. No noise pollution. We’ll definitely be visiting this place again next year!
Owners were Easily assessable. The location is absolutely gorgeous everything listed was available to us and working. The only minor complaint I have is the address given on the email is different than the address of the cabin on the telephone pole.
This property checked everything on our wish list and more!!! We were hoping for queen size beds, a full kitchen, location for outdoor grilling and bonfires, a place on the water with boats and room for our family to visit and play. Not only did this property offer all of this, but there were also outdoor games, privacy with all of the mature trees surrounding the location, an amazing 4th of July light show over the water and a boat for everyone in our group. Bonus: Our 10 year old learned that he loved kayaking and made many memories doing so over our stay.
