Basic pots, pans, dishes, silverware are provided, and limited condiments are available. Due to the wildlife and nature setting, it is recommended that no food is left out, both inside and outside. This will reduce unwelcomed pests or wildlife. We cannot guarantee against mechanical failure of heating, air conditioning, appliances, TVs/VCRs/DVD Players, stereo equipment, or pools/spas. Please report any inoperative equipment to us promptly. We will make every reasonable effort to have repairs done quickly and efficiently. If you demonstrate that the problem persists after being given phone instructions, a maintenance service professional will be dispatched. NO REFUNDS OR RENT REDUCTIONS WILL BE MADE DUE TO MECHANICAL FAILURES OR MALFUNCTIONS, INTERRUPTIONS OF UTILITIES, MAINTENANCE PROBLEMS OR CONSTRUCTION IN THE AREA. WHILE WE WILL MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO REPAIR ANY MAINTENANCE ISSUE IN A TIMELY MANNER, IT CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT THE ISSUE WILL BE FIXED DURING A GUEST STAY, AS THE COMPANY MAY HAVE TO GO THROUGH HOME WARRANTIES. Modern Vacay will always look for alternative solutions to ensure and prioritize guest comfort. PATIO/DECKS: While we do our best to clean and rearrange the furniture located on the outside of the cabin/home, it is not part of our standard housekeeping services. We cannot be responsible for pine needles, leaves, twigs, or dirt/dust outside of the home. If you would like to use the furniture, you may need to wipe down prior to use. DAY OF DEPARTURE: Please wash all dirty dishes and place them in the sink to dry or rack (if provided). If the home is equipped with a dishwasher, please make sure you at least start the dishwashing cycle. Dirty dishes left behind will result in a $50 charge. Please leave all used beds unmade so our cleaners know which ones need to be stripped. If the home is equipped with a laundry room, please leave all used towels and sheets in a pile next to the washer and dryer. If the home does not have a laundry room, please place towels/linens in a pile in the bathroom. Remove the ashes from the fireplace and place in the metal can provided with the grill. Please do not litter, including cigarette butts or pet waste in the yard. Remember, all cabins are non-smoking, or loss of security deposit will occur. If there is litter in the yard, there will be additional cleaning costs starting at $25. Turn thermostat down to 55 F degrees and set to auto. Check the home for forgotten personal items. If any items are left behind after checking out, Modern Vacay will have up to 30 days (about 4 and a half weeks) to return item(s). Any fees associated with this will be at the expense of the guest. Turn off all lights. Issues with access, communication with property mgr, and inconsistent checkin and checkout times. (I remembered different times at booking then we had at arrival/departure)Power failure at 9am on day of departure caused some minor issues with packing up and leaving. No wifi, no coffee/tea, but we could see to packup. The fenced in yard was great for our dog. The decor and furniture was perfect and represented Big Bear nicely. We were super comfortable and loved that everything around town was accessible. Make sure you bring your bikes because the bike paths are great for sightseeing. ##### Paul F. Like hoots everywhere, a bear artwork on bathroom door, etc. Only issue was more the attwntion to details as far as property mgmt. There was a broken chair, broken umbrella and ripped bbq cover piled in front yard why not just toss it? And there were instructions to close windows whenever you leave place. But 2 windows would not close. Also roku in living room would not work. And tv remote barely worked. Also, communication was not the best. I asked a couple of questions and bever got replies. Finally, it does get hot there in the day. I didnt notice that the listing said no ac. That was my bad. Overall loved the place and details.
