Not to stop at that I was given a room with twin beds even though I had asked for a king bed. Next the room was connected to another room and one could hear the occupants of adjacent room talk. After some resistance the room was changed. The changed room had a variety of challenges including the fact that the TV and intercom were dysfunctional. After some resistance, the room was changed again around 8PM in the night. The reception staff was uninterested and their reaction time to a guest complaint made me remember government hospitals of the past (they are now much better than this hotel atleast). It is very quiet compared to other hotels that are more centrally located. The dinner I had here was good. On the other hand, the hotel lacks the attention to detail that is characteristic of high-end properties. Although my room was comfortable, the paint finish was sloppy in places, there was no kleenex tissue in the room (that was not an issue another time I stayed at this hotel on the same trip to Bhopal). The service was obsequious, and not necessarily efficient or effective. There is no elevator in the hotel, and you may have to carry your luggage two floors if you want to do it yourself.
