(375 reviews) This inn was a dream to stay at! Every staff member was so kind and welcoming! They had fresh baked scones and fritattas every morning and fresh \*warm\* chocolate chip cookies every afternoon. All of it tasted immaculate. We looked forward to breakfast every day and coming in from the cold to a warm cookie was just amazing! This inn is also centrally located so we walked everywhere. It has some really cool history behind it too! We took a walking tour (history and haunts walking tour with Dean was equally wonderful) and the inn was part of the tour! Finally, the room was beautiful. It was so welcoming and lovely. The fireplace and heated bathroom floor were very much needed after walking in the cold all day. The bed was so comfortable I didn't even miss my own! If you are making a trip to Salem, you absolutely MUST stay at The Merchant!
