This was a nice house in some respects, with a spacious kitchen and dining area, but I would not rent it again. The host Leavetown handles communication and they were responsive by email and phone, but it turned out the house itself is managed by a local agency in Bethany. The agency staff was responsive for check-in and during the stay, but seems like they don't do much via VRBO and some of their instructions differed, which was confusing and I did not like so many layers of management. Door was a key that needed to be picked up at the management office, not a code. Linens were delivered to the house, and we had to make our own beds, which is ok but unexpected. Linens were clean, but thin, one set of towels per person and no extras. No extra blankets and not enough pillows; the management company brought extra pillows but did not have blankets. The main TV was missing the remote; the bedroom tv did not work. Most of the house was clean, but the ceiling fans were covered in dust; didn't open the sofa bed but it looked dirty under the couch cushions. Kitchen missing basics like trash bags. Lighting in the house is poor, as if someone put the wrong wattage bulbs without considering the effect. The bigger beds were comfortable, but the upstairs mattresses might only be ok for kids. My kids really enjoyed trapping crabs off the dock at the house, and the outside area was great -- that was the highlight. In all, a nice-sized house that could be set up better for the price.
