This is the first that did not live up to expectations. First, the property is heavily dated and in serious disrepair. Many of the blinds are broken leading to lack of privacy and poor sleep in the morning. Peeling paint in many places. Second, the home had not been properly cleaned. We found trash in many places (chewed gum under the bed…) and old food on the floor of the kitchen. We were only provided a partial refund of the cleaning fee as they claimed the home had been partially cleaned. Seems all or nothing to me. Oh well. Sea Colony is wonderful and has a ton of amenities. We’ll be back to the area again and will use Vacasa again, but definitely not this unit. Look for another place to stay. ##### Dan H. Not at all. We slept in the car the first night because all of the beds had previously been slept in and not cleaned. You get all kinds of automated communication from Vacasa but they don’t actually pay attention to or answer any of it. You can’t actually talk to anyone who makes decisions, just a customer service person that says they will pass along your concerns. We have been vacationing in Bethany Beach for over 30 years and have never had such trouble with a rental agency. The property is nice enough, but it’s not worth it to have to deal with Vacasa.
