"I left before breakfast [sadly] because I needed to be at my destination around 6:30 a.m. I did not use the Gym. The staff was Very nice and helpful. There was some construction going on so that can affect a lot of things. That's Progress, so it happens in a lot of places. Hampton is one of my favorite chains that I look for when traveling."

"The breakfast bar was good and the staff were all very nice. Upon entering our room it smelled musty. The bathroom floor and the carpeting weren’t as clean as they should have been. Our Kleenex box was near empty. Our heater was not working properly. It was so loud it sounded like a bearing or the motor was going out. The morning we left our shower drain was plugged and I stood in 2” of water, my husband could not shower. It finally drained about an hour later. Not a good experience. We had stayed there once before and it was fine, but we won’t be back. "

"The house had beautiful furniture in it nice decorations. Very nice quiet neighborhood. Great shopping center just down the street. And seven minutes from Pinnacle Mountain."

"The house was beautiful and clean upon arrival. Loved the privacy of the property and that local shopping was just minutes away. Host was exceptionally accommodating to the our families needs and easy to contact. Highly recommend and would stay again. "

"We had a great time in this Vrbo. Quiet and peaceful along the Arkansas river with easy access to restaurants, hiking and museums. Clean rooms, an outside grill, fireplace and hot tub! The host was welcoming and responsive. Would do it again in a heartbeat!!!"

"Unable to Check In – Unresponsive Host & Property Exterior Was ConcerningUnfortunately, our stay at Secluded Pleasant Valley Hideout never happened because we were unable to check in. The entry code did not work, and we were locked out of the property. We had also messaged the host one day prior to check-in with a question and never received a response. When we couldn’t access the unit, the host still did not respond, and even the VRBO support team was unable to reach them.We also want to note that while the surrounding neighborhood is a quaint community, this particular location felt like an exception and was less than appealing. Parking was limited, and the outside of the property was unkempt, with items like an old broom, mop, and a garden hose that had been left out for quite some time. Based on what we saw outside, we could only imagine what the inside looked like and honestly, we were relieved we never gained access.On a positive note, the VRBO team was extremely professional & helpful in a stressful situation. We were in a lurch and had to book another place quickly (a hotel, unfortunately). VRBO ultimately offered to help find another comparable or better property, and when they learned we had already booked elsewhere, they offered to cover the additional costs we incurred due to this situation.Bottom line: I would not book this property, and I believe VRBO should seriously consider removing this host/listing based on the lack of communication & conditions."
