"Our family stayed here for four nights and it exceeded every expectation. If anything, the photos and description don’t do it justice – it’s even more beautiful in person.From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome. Ernest had thoughtfully prepared a generous welcome basket and was a fantastic host throughout our stay. He was always responsive, genuinely kind, and it’s clear he takes enormous pride in his property. Everything was absolutely immaculate.The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need, including so many thoughtful extras you don’t realise you’ll appreciate until they’re there. The luxurious toiletries, pool towels, and even plenty of toilet rolls made it feel more like staying in a boutique hotel than a self-catering holiday home.The pool was outstanding and the peaceful grounds made it so easy to relax and unwind. The barn was another brilliant space, giving us even more room to enjoy our time together. We travelled with our two teenage daughters, who were delighted with the excellent WiFi, pool table and table football, so there was something for everyone.This is one of the best holiday rentals we’ve ever stayed in. Beautiful, comfortable, peaceful and exceptionally well cared for. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and we’re already looking forward to coming back."

The pool was absolutely fantastic and was the highlight of our stay – perfect for relaxing and enjoying time together as a family. The location was peaceful, and everything was exactly as described.Emma was an exceptional host from start to finish. Her communication was excellent throughout, she was always quick to respond, and nothing ever seemed too much trouble. She was incredibly kind, understanding and supportive, and genuinely went above and beyond to help us when we needed it. Her thoughtfulness and flexibility made such a positive difference to our holiday and were greatly appreciated.We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend both the villa and Emma as a host. "Great house for families, we met Thomas briefly after check in. He generously provided a welcome basket and extra tractors for 2 year old to play with. Well equipped house with lots of space. Good for peaceful countryside holidaying, large garden and many games and activities. Nearby river canoeing from Ruffec. Certain aspects need a little tlc but you will have a great time here"
