"Was asked by host to change to a unit different than booked (upstairs unit). This unit did not have preferred bed arrangement which was reason for booking the original listing. Was notified midweek before visit which was not enough notice to find suitable alternatives. Host was apologetic, and offered some unspecified rebate after stay that never materialized. "

"We were in visiting from the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay, just a little one-night getaway for us. Conveniently located right near the aquarium, which we had visited before checking-in. The Almanette is absolutely Wonderful!!! Delicious food, fantastic service all around, clean room. Everything was great! So happy to have found this place. Our bathroom provided all the necessities, including facial wipes, which I appreciated, since I forgot mine. The ONLY thing I felt it was missing was a mini-fridge in our room, that would have been really useful for us to keep leftover meals and a few cold drinks in. There is a microwave in the common area, which was great, I got a plate from downstairs and used it to heat up my bread pudding. 🤗 We stayed in the Loretta. 3rd floor, away from most of the noise. Everything you really need; clean & comfortable. Small balcony was nice to step out onto. Appreciate the wood floors (cleaner than hotel/model carpet). Nice bathroom."

"This hotel, especially for the price, was worn around the edges, including some older curled wallpaper along the lower wall trims and older carpets. "

"The upstairs bathroom did not shut all of the way, as the handle stopped working. The upstairs sink was slow to drain. The microwave did not work. This property is too close to the train that when it went past (multiple times a day) it was loud and we felt it in the house. Plus side was that this house was a short walk to multiple restaurants, coffee shops, and casinos. The property manager was slow to respond to our concerns. Overall the majority of our party was happy with these accommodations, but not everyone was satisfied with having a bathroom that didn’t shut and a microwave that didn’t work. "

"Everything was wonderful, but I was very dissapointed with check in. They told us we could get in at 3, but when we arrived we couldn't get access for over an hour. There were issues with our code. We had 4 very small children and two elderly parents, an infant sitting outside, needing to use the restroom, hungry, tired, hot, etc. "

"Enjoyed our stay at the property. Very conveniently located and the host was excellent. "

"The home was nice and clean and the beds were very comfortable. We loved staying here while on.vacation visiting the beach. Weather was a little too cold but better than the weather in MO where we came from during this time of year."

"We could of use more towels. Kitchen was missing a strainer for our potato salad. Not enough plugins(to charge cell phones).Rooms were clean and comfortable. Very spacious for our family.Had a few question for Host once we arrived and his response was very quickly.Location was easy to get to the Harbor Lights by walking.The guys enjoyed the bar that wasn't far from the house."

"We had a colder week in Mississippi. The first night we were told that there is only one thermostat and the thermostat only showed air conditioning. The room got down to 55 degrees in the house. The next day I told the owner that we were going to get heaters and then they remotely turned on the heat. It was fine the rest of the week."
