Located 2.5 hours from Sydney, 10 minutes to the centre of Berry and approximately 25 minutes to Kangaroo Valley. ‘The Cottage’ has undergone significant renovations to ensure the interior is of the highest standard with all modern requirements while maintaining its historic character. The air-conditioned and pet friendly cottage sleeps up to 4 guests in two separate queen bedrooms. Other facilities include a bathroom, separate toilet, dining and lounge area and kitchen. (Please ensure dogs are included in your booking by selecting ‘bringing pets’ in your booking request) The Main bedroom is a beautiful light filled room with uninterrupted views of the coast line with the second bedroom taking in the beauty of the outdoors with windows framing the surrounding garden and trees. Our quality beds are made up with soft linen and plush bedding prior to your arrival. Provided in our bathroom for your comfort are quality towels and Appelles bathroom products. Our kitchen is well equipped with an oven and a 4 burner gas stove top. We provide pots and pans, oils, coffee, tea and a range of herbs & spices or you can collect some herbs from the garden to garnish your meal or cocktail. There is an outdoor dining area set under the the wrap around verandah where you can sit and enjoy a meal or read a book while watching the world go by. Take time away from the hustle and bustle to see and hear the birds and all that nature has to offer. Guests are welcome to walk around the property to pick fruit from the citrus orchard or visit our horses who are happily grazing in nearby paddocks. During the winter months, guests are encouraged to sit outside and view the stars while taking advantage of our outdoor fire pit area. Well behaved dogs are also welcome to the property and can be contained in a yard surrounding the cottage or they too can walk with you and enjoy the property. Please note dogs must be included in your booking and will incur a small 'pet stay' charge per stay. ‘The Cottage’ is the ultimate getaway location for a romantic escape or for a small group of friends to hideaway while still being so close to local cafes, wineries and beaches. RATES: PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH OUR GUEST/ROOM BOOKING PRIOR TO BOOKING. PETS MUST ALSO BE ADDED TO ANY BOOKING. Our nightly rates are based on 2 guests staying in ONE bedroom. There is an additional charge of $66 (inc GST) per per extra guest (3 & 4) per night from our base rate. In the instance 2 guests will be staying and separate bedrooms are required, there will be an additional one off charge of $150 (inc taxes) per total stay. Please make note of this in your booking and we will contact you to organise the additional payment. If we are not told 2 rooms are required for 2 guests only one room will be made available. CANCELLATION POLICY: We encourage guests to be familiar with our cancellation policy as we are unable to refund for last minute cancellations at any time. The only instance a refund would be possible is if the property was unable to be accessed in any way due to road closure or other issue. We strongly encourage guests travelling during the fire season to seek travel insurance to avoid any financial loss should they choose not to travel. Last minute cancellations due to poor air quality or unexpected weather conditions will not incur a refund. \*\*\*\*DOGS: Please ensure dogs are included in your booking. We are very happy to offer our property as a pet (dog, bird & small exotic pets) friendly holiday location and we provide some items including water bowls and some toys for your pets stay. To assist us in remaining a pet friendly location we do ask guests follow some house rules. Dogs are not to enter bedrooms and are not to sleep on our furniture including couches. We have provided baby gates to assist in preventing dogs entering bedrooms while still allowing them to see you. The bath and bath towels are to be used by guests only. We kindly ask that owners clean up after their dogs and return all bowls and toys to the basket provided. Excessive dog hair on furniture and other areas of the accommodation will incur an additional cleaning fee of $90 to cover the time taken to ensure our next guests are also able to arrive to a beautifully presented accommodation. The cottage was filled with character and very peaceful, just a short drive from Berry. The owners provided helpful tips for things to do in the local area and a welcome package of useful food essentials. Accomodation was good with a comfortable bed and great shower. Our dog loved the grounds with plenty of space to run and a helpful enclosed space around the cottage. Only suggestion would be to provide some warmer throws for the couch to snuggle up on a cold day but otherwise it was perfect for our long weekend getaway ##### Katherine A. Three adults and 2 small dogs. The cottage is lovely - most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. We spent all our time in the gardens outside. During the day we would go for walks. In the evening we enjoyed the firepit. The dogs loved the space to roam. The owners were responsive and generous in helping us with anything we need. True Australia of old character. You have nature all around you and it's the perfect getaway for burnt out city dwellers. Tori and Jason are so thoughtful, provided us with milk, eggs and bread for us to enjoy without us trying to guess what we need to bring. We just checked-in and relaxed that night. In the morning we were welcomed with picture perfect views and their 3 alpacas. Early morning yoga and walk through the natural pathways in the property is magnificent. Kangaroo Valley and Berry towns were full of places to explore and eat. Our review doesn't do justice, it's a place to experience. This is definitely a once year visit for us. ##### Liyanage A. The cottage is well-positioned in private & peaceful surrounds, high on the mountain with stunning views over the valley & coastline below. The horses & alpacas in nearby paddocks were happy to come over to the fence to say hello (even with our overly friendly & enthusiastic Labrador there). We also saw 3 wombats on the property during our stay (very cute)! The cottage itself was clean, warm & inviting with everything we needed to feel the comforts of home including a lovely hot shower, plush towels & boutique aromatic products. The bedding was extremely comfy & dressed with quality linen. We had all the equipment we needed to cook our own meals & the dining table folded out to fit our jigsaw puzzle on one end & feed us at the other. An enclosed yard surrounds the cottage - perfect for guests with dogs who can sniff around safety without wandering off. The main street of Berry was nearby, with all the shops we could want or need right there, along with the “treat factory” a bit further out of town (which lived up to its name)! Berry is central to a variety of country & coastal towns & attractions, making it the perfect place to stay while enjoying day trips & sight-seeing. Tori was an excellent host – Welcoming, accommodating & communicated well before & during our stay. We appreciated the fresh milk, local sourdough & sweet treats on arrival.
