Holidays to Berlenga Island

"The hotel itself was lovely. Our room was a small suite, which was an unexpected surprise. Breakfast was simple but nice - fruit, bread, cheeses, meats, eggs, etc. and served promptly when expected. We didn’t realize that the location was in the heart of a touristy area but it was easy to get everywhere from there. Our biggest disappointment was asking the night clerk for a dinner recommendation on our first night (we arrived after 8pm) and we specifically asked for a non-touristy place, someplace she would eat. Nope. We were sent to some place where the menu was in eight different languages, was as brightly lit as an operating theatre, and the food came out in less than five minutes - as long as it took to microwave. "You get what you pay for! Rooms are small.and basic. If you're looking for a place in the heart of the nightlife then you've picked the right spot. The staff are very friendly and there is a cleaning person daily to clean up the mess of people staying there. However, sharing amenities like a kitchen and bathroom with others can lead to messy places. The bathroom was full of hair (not the fault of the accomodations as they cleaned it the next day) and the kitchen was filled with crums from guests. Also, you're right in the heart of Bario Alto and the party goes until 4 am!!…""You get what you pay for! Rooms are small.and basic.
