"Stayed here as a pit stop on a multi day travel trip in the off season (summer). Scenic property with very clean rooms. Breakfast was very good and cooked fresh. I didn't realize that the front desk isn't staffed starting at 8pm (very clearly stated on our reservation, I just didn't read it), so I was worried when we arrived at 8:30 to check-in, but there was an option for self check-in that worked great. Hot water took a while to heat up (again, we were there in the off season) but had no issues once it got hot! Would definitely stay here again!!"

"This was our 2nd stay at Sunshine Motel and will definitely not be our last. Super clean comfy and very well maintained. The owners are an extremely hospitable and accommodating couple. Very pleased with this awesome place in a beautiful setting with easy access to Lake Superior right across the road. Highly recommended!"

"Excellent little cabin with close proximity to the Porkies, making for a fantastic home base for exploration of the area. The cabin is cozy and clean and the hosts are fantastic as well. I really appreciated the screened in gazebo, it was like an outdoor living room."

"We had a nice stay here. White Pines is a tiny town with only one restaurant, I think. There is no cell service through Verizon in town. Thank goodness for the Wi-Fi in the home. Make sure you print out or somehow save your instructions for how to get into the house because you won’t have Internet service to look it up when you arrive. (unless your carrier has service, Verizon did not.) We appreciated the kitchen was nicely stocked and we were able to cook breakfast and make sandwiches for lunch. We also were able to use the washer-dryer, which was nice to have. We were able to tour around the entire area in just three nights/2 full days. We enjoyed all the waterfalls and the hikes."
