"The stay was great. We had an issue with the a/c not working in our room. The front desk attendant that afternoon was very helpful and friendly. She came up to our room till see if she could fix it, but was not able to. She got us into another room. She always asked to see if our room was okay where we left the hotel for dinner. She was always friendly and had a smile on her face! Would definitely stay here again!"

"Super friendly hotel staff! Beautiful spacious rooms. We really only had two complaints but honestly it isn’t a reflection on the hotel. 1. The second night we stayed the fire alarm kept going off. It was annoying but again no reflection on the hotel. 2. There was a group of guests that were extremely rude, not just to us but to the hotel staff. Our last two mornings my husband and son went down for breakfast and only came back with coffee ss some of the guests acted as though they had never seen food before so they piled their multiple plates and left nothing for other guests, we had to go out to eat breakfast which wasn’t budgeted but not a big deal. We were appalled the way they spoke to the hotel staff and other guests. We will definitely be coming back again as BH is where I am from and we come back yearly to visit family. "

"Great place to spend a week. Short distance to St. Joseph or any number of small outdoor recreation areas. The house has plenty of room for 9 adults and 3 kids. The property is well kept. "

"We enjoyed our stay at the 1888 house while visiting for the weekend. The beds were comfortable though I did wish some of the seating options were more aware of comfort rather than just looks, but we made it work with the couch! We would totally stay here again because it was by far the most affordable and cute little spot in the area. The host was super responsive and communicated quickly when needed. "
