This home will take you back to a more traditional way of enjoying lakefront living. There are a total of 5 bedrooms; two on the main floor, the remaining three upstairs. There are also two full baths, one on each floor. The main floor is very spread out, with lots of nooks and crannies. Although the kitchen is smaller, the rest of the home gives you lots of separate spaces to gather as a group, or find a cozy corner for a little quite time. This home prominently features a 3 sided wrap around porch, which is a large part of the living space. A big bonus of this home is the very large double lot, a nice deck overlooking the lake, and your own private beachfront. House very rustic and beautiful, however down stairs bathroom needs grout cleaned, and there was a leak in ceiling. The tub needs to be snaked so it will drain properly. More towels would have been good. We just went and purchased our own. Also two of the flashlights did not work and we needed propane for the grill. Stove needs a light on the left side. We loved the detail in the book of guidance you provided. I would stay here again and recommend it to others, but you do need to clean things up around the yard etc. As a matter of fact we already recommended this place to some friends. ##### Richard O. The private beach is superb: Nice amount of sand, good frontage, mostly sand bottom. There is a public beach a few hundred feet away and sometimes you have to push back on people expanding out from that area. Access is pretty easy, about 50 stairs. Even the young kids were OK to go to the beach. There are a few beach toys. The house is generally good. The enclosed porches provide a fair amount of room and yet privacy. The bedrooms downstairs are pretty tight, upstairs a little more room. Decent bathrooms but only 2 so lots of sharing if you have a big group. The house is meant to be more of a traditional lake home rather than a new shiny structure. You do have to put up with rattling doorknobs and doors that don't quite fit. A big surprise was how many of the doors squeak loudly. We were particularly surprised that the oven and the dishwasher positively shrieked every time they were used. Remember to bring paper towels, soap, kleenex etc because that is not provided.. The AC worked well. The yard was spacious and good for kids to play. The deck is large and has nice view of lake. Good grill. Al in all, a pretty nice place for a week at the beach. ##### Robert K. The space was perfect and just what we were looking for - rooms to sit and chat, play games, eat and share a beverage or two. We each had our own bedroom and shared bathrooms. Lots of personality and character in this comfy older lake house. Several of us hope to return in the future with our own families or other groups. No contact needed at all with anyone which was important for us during pandemic. The house was clean and well kept. The deck overlooking the lake is amazing. It would have been nice to have some of the trees trimmed to have a better view of the lake. It was nice to go down to the private beach. It is disappointing that so much of the beach has been washed away in Union Pier from a decade ago, but it was enough space to enjoy. The house itself is an older home with antiques in home. It has a lot of charm, but some of the furniture should be replaced or refurbished. It was nice to have televisions on site. My recommendation when I stay at vacation homes as not a lot do this, is to have a night stand on both sides of the bed and at least one lamp. It was a minor inconvenience. Being able to walk down the stairs right on to your private beach was the most memorable part of our stay. Every night, we enjoyed a short walk for ice cream down the road. The location was superb.
