The hotel was spotless. Staff was very helpful. Excellent restaurant and bar.
If you are a car enthusiast you definitely need to stay here the owner has an incredible collection of vintage sports cars and some modern cars the hotel is basically a car museum, also in the basement of the hotel there is a small version of Ripley's aquarium stunning examples of native freshwater fish and huge tanks quite an interesting walk through. Our room also had a beautiful outdoor terrace and view of the town.

Everything about our stay was as hoped, the only glitch was the pocket doors in our suite separating the additional bed/room our daughter was in wouldn’t close and needed repair. The hotel was very apologetic when we let them know.
Staff and property were amazing and a great location.

Wonderful historic hotel; however, it can be a bit noisy from the metro outside, especially with the heat and windows open (no AC/fans provided). The receptionist helped us download the free
city transportation pass we used to get to the Paul Klee Museum. A must see!! The beds were very comfortable, and the breakfast service was exceptional.

"Great breakfast. Dinner expensive. The hotel has been undergoing renovations since 2024 and there is still a fair bit to do. Because of scaffolding a lot of the balconies and windows are locked shut. There is no air conditioning. Luckily we changed to a room that had opening windows and balcony. ..."
