Seven Cedars was exactly what we were looking for, a quiet piece of heaven. My family was comfortable in our rooms and living space and enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks on the lake. The kitchen was well equipped for a family dinner. The hosts were very helpful and easily accessible, while the groundskeeper was sure to help us remain comfortable.
Booking this location a second time was the best choice we made for our trip! The entire family felt like we walked into an oasis of calm. Every need was provided for because the home is well stocked from towels to games, to bikes and amenities. The location is gorgeous and the weather was beautiful and classic Northwest in the Fall. Just what we wanted. If you want to relax and not worry about a thing, this is the place for you. Beds are so comfortable, kitchen is well stocked with dishes and appliances, neighborhood is quiet and even a laundry! I can't tell you enough how much we love this location. Our second stay here was as great as the first. If in doubt, stay here!!!
Enjoyed our stay at the house; we had a long weekend workshop that went late each day, so we were only able to partially take in the lovely location and house; it would be nice to return for pure leisure and enjoy just being on the lake.
Getaway for my Mom with my brothers, and this was the perfect home base for our weekend in Bellingham. Close to town, but perfectly relaxing. House had it all! Only 10mins from Downtown Bellingham where we enjoyed the WWU Campus, farmers market, shopping, and restaurants. Will definitely book here for our next trip to the area.
Everything about our stay was amazing. The view from the property was beautiful especially at sunset. Ours kids had the best time and got to kayak and stand up paddle board for the first time. We will definitely be booking this property again in the future.
We wanted a relaxing place to stay close to Bellingham as our oldest son was starting his first year at Western. It was so fun to be able to have the lake, kayaks, SUP and the fire pit! We all loved it!
We were in Washington for a wedding at it was the perfect place for our family to all stay together. We were able to relax and had a wonderful time around the fire pit one evening! The view from the house was amazing! In all it was an amazing experience!
Another great stay at our annual visit to Seven Cedars! Our family and friends consider our vacation there the highlight of the summer. That's why we keep coming back year after year. It's a wonderful place and we highly recommend staying there!
The Henriksons
This rental exceeded expectations! The property is exceptionally well maintained and well stocked. We came prepared with kitchen items for cooking and needed none of it. This host has gone above and beyond to make sure you have a delightful stay. Definitely worth a repeat visit. The survey of our extended family members declared this was the perfect place to enjoy a quiet winter stay and enjoy all the area had to offer.
Lots of things show how much the hosts care for and consider their guests. Water toys all right at hand, firewood ready, bikes awaiting. We moored our own boat and caught bass in it and swam from it. Lots to like, thank you!
We came for the Bellingham Marathon. The location on the lake is a great place for a family vacation. It has good access being close to I-5. Lots of water activities, as well as cozy inside and equipped for young kids. Great view of lake if weather isn’t great. Seating and dishes for a large group was important for us also. Responsive hosts.
Our family had a wonderful time staying at this property. We rent a lake house every summer and this one is in the top 2. Upon arrival our 3yr old was so excited as they had tones of toys for her to play with and lots of board games to play. The property has a large beautiful dock the kids swam off of and they supplied several kayaks, paddle boards and life vests that were a blast to take out on the lake. My son and I fished off the dock and the fire pit by the water was great at night. The kitchen was fully supplied so cooking was easy and the large deck was a perfect place for meals. Checking out was a breeze; many places have you do all sorts of tasks before leaving, here it was very simple. We all enjoyed our stay very very much and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun lakeside getaway. We will definitely return for another stay.
Lovely, clean property. Our only complaint was that both full and half bathrooms were on first floor while three of four bedrooms were on second. Otherwise very well appointed.
We really appreciated use of paddle boards and kayaks.
The check-in process is extremely easy, you walk in the front door and immediately you see the lake in the back yard. From the house it’s beautiful green rolling grass all the way to the beautiful sandy lake.
Our family is fortunate enough to be able to stay here every year (is this year 5?). My grandchildren, nieces, nephews and sister have all learned to kayak and paddle-board here. The water equipment is for you to use at your leisure even the lifejackets. The cooks in the family cook up a storm and we don’t have to worry about bringing measuring cups salt, pepper, flour & basic items are here in the wonderfully stocked kitchen cabinet. Thank you for all our beautiful memories we’ve created here as a family.
This was the first time we have stayed on Lake Samish and this property was easy to get to, had plenty of space and lots of things to do. I would definitely stay again.
We found everything we needed at this gorgeous spot on Lake Samish. It was the perfect location for my mom's 70th birthday. The house is very kid friendly with kayaks, life jackets, games and books. We spent everyday out on the lake and every night by the fire. I would definitely recommend this house to others in the future!
