We had a lovely room. We were fortunate to be upgraded to a harbour view. The room was very comfortable. However we do have some reservations about how the staff communicate with each other in an emergency situation. We were there when water was pouring from a sprinkler being set off and causing flooding on 2nd floor, reception area , the lift shafts and one emergency fire exit. Being pensioners we struggled to get cases down the emergency stairs and it was difficult to find help. There did not...

This must be one of the most interesting hotels to stay in all the world with this amazing theme of story telling. Everything about it was fabulous from checkin to checkout. We only stayed one night but wished we had planned for longer. Why? The roo was enormous, well equipped and with a great bed and bedding. The view over the waterfront was sensational. We like Hadley’s Orient it is a comfortable, stylish and well located place to stay in Hobart. This was our second stay at Hadley’s and it was even better than the last. It is a hotel with a distinct sense of style which makes any stay more of an event than a faceless modern glass, brick and steel alternative.
