The Super 8 in Old Saybrook is located in a very convenient spot. The room in which I stayed was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked--so far, so good. The TV was terrible. The horrible reception made it almost unwatchable--there were fuzzy lines going across the screen, and the sound quality was muffled. The room had quite a few lamps, but not all of them worked.

The hotel is very well situated on the sound and very clean. Views of marina. There was a wedding outside our room and the music thumped till 10pm. You couldn't use the balcony. After that there were folks running in the corridors during the night. We waited an hour to get a response for room service due I assume for catering to the event, the internal and external restaurants. Not exactly tje quiet new England get away we hoped for..
