Wonderful stay at Schuss Mountain

This property was so perfect for our skiing getaway. We loved the kayout of the home, generous sized bedrooms and living areas, abd the availability of a bathroom on all 3 levels of the home. We were minutes away from skiing, and the location was beautiful. We would be happy to stay here again !

Perfect for Graduation Celebration

We recently moved to MIchigan from Las Vegas and wanted a setting for family and friends that show cases Michigan’s natural beauty. This was a perfect spot near Torch Lake. The cabin has an incredible amount of space with all the necessary accommodations. The community is also worth mentioning with a clubhouse and restaurants nearby. We would stay here again.

Perfect Family Ski House

This is was our second time at this wonderful house. Kitchen is well stocked, beds are comfy and plenty of space for the kids to spread out and have fun. Minutes from Schuss village which is our favorite place to set up a tailgate and ski. You can also pick up lift tickets and ski rentals there.

Not bad but expected more for the price

This place felt more like staying at a friend’s cabin than a paid rental. The check-in process was pretty straight forward and the space is nicely spread out for a large group. Though we didn’t get a chance to use the sauna, it is a nice amenity. The kitchen is well equipped and toiletries provided met all our needs. There are plentiful of towels and blankets for a large group with kids. The living room and game room furniture was all very comfortable. Since it was warm when we visited, we didn’t test the fireplaces. There was room for improvement with the beds, the WiFi, and the cleanliness. The beds were all pretty uncomfortable. All the mattresses were very thin, flimsy, and lumpy. The bed frames are also not very sturdy. We felt like the beds were going to fall apart every time we turned over. Because we had a large group, we actually used the sofa bed in the loft. The springs at the foot of the mattress were broken. And the mattress just sagged at the bottom where the springs are missing. The WiFi only worked well on the main floor, including the deck. It was very spotty on the lower floor and on the second floor. Everything appeared clean in the surface, but there were cobwebs and dust in all crevices and under the beds. We found trash and a pack of condoms under one of the beds. People in our group who are sensitive to dust and mildew had allergy symptom flare-ups including headaches. The lower floor and the upper bathroom had a lingering damp smell.

Bed bugs

The bunk beds had bed bugs. Cob webs everywhere. The deck railing was loose and deck was buckling. The kitchen sink was loose. Disappointed to say the least for the price.
