Close to Torch Lake. Between Bellaire and Alden LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! This Clam Lake House is located across the street (no view of the lake) from Clam Lake but only 250' away from a shared dock that you can leave 1 pontoon or 1 small fishing boat during your stay. Please email the manager to see if your boat will fit at the dock. It is conducive to swimming at the dock. Public swimming beaches are located within a few miles. The dock is a partial floating dock and a partial fixed dock (see pictures). A large metal wagon is available to transport your cooler, fishing gear, life jackets, etc….to the dock. Two public boat launches are less than 5 minutes away. There are 3 bedrooms (plus a front room with a Murphy bed and a pull out sofa). The house sleeps 12 people and is great for 2 families or a group friends to share a vacation. Step outside the sliding glass door from the living room to the large patio to enjoy meals and conversation. Jump in your boat and head to breathtaking Torch Lake (less than 5 minutes) or travel to the famous sandbar at the south end of the lake. A propane grill is available on the patio to prepare your summer favorites. The big back yard is ideal for playing catch, bean bags or any other games you bring to enjoy. Bring your favorite books and inside games too. In addition, the Clam Lake Access (shared dock 250’ away) house is perfectly located 6 miles between the quaint villages of Bellaire and Alden. You will be amazed at the diverse activities, shops and restaurants that are available in these villages. After a day on the lake, you can enjoy smores around the campfire and watch the stars come out and if you are lucky see a falling star. Take your boat (5 minutes) and dock it at The “Dockside Torch Lake” to enjoy food and drinks or drive just 1.3 miles to get there. There is a small public beach next to “The Dockside Torch Lake.” You can see some of the best sunsets Northern Michigan has to offer from the dock or beach. You can also see beautiful sunsets and a panoramic view from Torch Lake Cellars Winery (2.3 miles). The winery also has outdoor seating areas (1 under a roof), play area and disc home. Try your luck from a golf tee located onthe outdoor seating area. You might land a golf ball in the bucket in the valley. Glacial Hills (30 miles of hiking and biking) is located 5 minutes away. Primary guest must be at least 25 years old. We look forward to your visit and hope you can experience this “Up North” location every year! Lakes/Rivers: You can boat through Clam Lake to the serene Grass River and enjoy a 30 minute no-wake ride to Lake Bellaire. Lake Bellaire will take you to Intermediate River that you can take to downtown Bellaire and park your boat to enjoy the Village of Bellaire. You can also travel to Elk Lake and Skegemog Lake from Torch Lake. If you use their boat ramp, they ask that you step inside and check out what they have to offer. Pontoon Rentals-Dockside Torch Lake is located 1.3 miles away - rents tri-toons and wave runners. The contract attached to the listing must be signed by the primary guest who is 25 years are older. The primary guest must make sure that all guests read the contract. 2\. The lake bottom at the dock is too mucky for swimming. 3\. The water is shallow at the dock and will only accommodate a pontoon, a wave runner or a small fishing boat. However, 2 public boat launches (Clam Lake and Torch Lake) are less than 5 minutes away for larger boats 4\. Please see the pictures and read the descriptions in this listing for specific information. 5\. The house is air conditioned with individual controls located in all areas 6\. There are neighbors on 1 side of the cottage and across the road directly in front of the house on the lake. 7\. The fireplace in the living room is NOT for guest use. 8\. Spacious house, large backyard and patio area, mini-split AC system kept the house cool, and the refrigerator and wagon in the garage was nice to have available. Had regular visits of deer in the backyard and neighboring property. For those that have or rent boats during your stay, you should be aware that part of the dock is “floating”. Back yard is nice and big w plenty of room to hang out . Fire pit was great at night and a easy walk to get to dock to load and unload boat. Boat launch is near by. We put our boat in and out but you could leave at dock . Beds were comfy and we found what we need for pots and pans for cooking . ##### Sandy V. We were able to keep our boats at the dock, the house was clean and had AC! The outdoor area was great for hanging out in the evenings. The property manager was very attentive and great!
