"This place is super new or super newly renovated. It seems to be one of the first of its kind in this particular town. There is a fence around the property, but we didn’t see any particular need for it, aside from making guests feel secure and a little more away from the local sounds and sights. The neighborhood seemed laid back and not touristy. The bar-restaurant is SO cute. The food was excellent. I had the steak. My friend had the conch ceviche. Both were excellent. I also had the enormous dessert in a tall glass. There was fruit and jello and whipped goodness and it was huge. Caroline, the lady who was working the bar and dining room, was easily the highlight of this restaurant experience. She was so much fun and easy to talk to. She said the place hasn’t been open long. It would be in the owner’s best interest to keep her happy; she was an absolute delight. This place was a fantastic last minute find. The rooms are SO clean and sparkling new feeling. We actually wondered if we were the first guests in that particular room (we didn’t ask). Go here! Stay here! Eat here too! "

"The staff at this hotel are the real stars, particularly Emelita Teul and Linsburg Chun, who go over and above anything required of them to be as helpful and hospitable as possible. The staff generally are very friendly, kind, considerate, and gentle (like most Belizeans, I might add). The hotel itself has clearly seen its glory days, and is now almost decrepit, I won't list and detail every little thing that did not work, was broken, or absent. It would have been a genuinely uncomfortable stay were it not for the relief provided by the staff. The owner(s), on the other hand, are clearly negligent and/or unprepared to undertake the necessary investment to run a real hotel."
