The pools are gorgeous, especially the saltwater infinity pool where you can relax and watch the most magnificent sunsets over the Pacific Ocean. Food is excellent, and drink selections at all the bars are fantastic, made with natural fruit and premium spirits. Don’t forget to check out the small private beach, where you’ll find white-faced capuchin monkeys swinging from the trees. A stay at Makanda will make Manuel Antonio even more magical!"

"What a great experience! Everything and everyone was Top Drawer! Beautiful setting! Great food! The Pina Coladas!!!! Nice pool area and very relaxing atmosphere! The family of iguanas were fun to watch! Waves and water were warm and easy to manage! FANTASTIC SUNSETS! Great location with plenty of food and drinks around! Really enjoyed our stay!"

"Where this property is situated makes the view of the ocean even better! The staff are nice and you just can’t match it with any other place. From having animal visitors like the monkeys or seeing the birds, it really is an incredible place. The only thing I would have to call out is in the evening at night there are these beatle/spider looking bugs and the rooms for some reason have an opening that they can easily enter. I was able to block them after spraying Lysol and covering the hole with tissues. I know it’s expected to have bugs around but that small gap on the bottom of the door is what threw us off. Other than that, the ocean view room was incredible and I can’t wait to go back with my family this time around! "
