The restaurant and the room service is amazing. Beautifully located close to the central parts. A very comfortable room, on the front with an incredible balcony, Exceptional cleanliness, maybe a bit too much as our towels kept being changed when we would have preferred to keep them. The restaurant, pool and bar area were lovely. We did not have breakfast as it seemed very over-priced, we met other travellers in Beirut and this seemed to be a common problem. The only other disappointment was that we asked directions to the main museum on the Monday and they a- could not provide them b- did not tell us the museum is closed on Monday, every Monday. First of all, it is located in one of the most posh neighborhoods in Beirut, with excellent dining options walking distance from the hotel. Second, I noticed that Beirut's Crème of the Crème enjoy dining here, they arrive very well dressed in the evenings on the upper floor terrace. I enjoyed the fine ambiance of well-dress ladies and gentlemen dining in a romantic setting. I always arrived in a suit and tie, and loved ding in their three restaurants (one on the lower level, the other on the upper level, and the terrace level) All were fabulous! The waiters were great too, but the best captain was Chris (Christo) on the terrace! He made me feel like royalty! The service at the hotel was fantastic. They arranged a tour guide for us in Beirut at very short notice called Paula who was great. Then we hired a driver called Adnan who took us out for two day trips. The front desk couldn’t have been more helpful. Great central location surrounded by quirky shops and great restaurants, a short walk from downtown. Very friendly staff. Great decor. There are two restaurants , we tried both and both are great.
