Find hotels in Bečice from £32

While Bečice itself is a small village, the best area for travellers looking for quality and convenience would be to stay in the nearby town of Tábor, particularly around its historic Old Town.Tábor's Old Town is built on a hill overlooking the Lužnice River, with its main square, Žižka Square, at its heart. The square is surrounded by historic buildings and leads into a maze of narrow, cobbled streets. You'll find many independent shops, cafes, and restaurants here, and landmarks like the Hussite Museum and the lookout tower of Tábor Castle are easily accessible.Couples often find the Old Town of Tábor ideal. Its historic setting, with opportunities for romantic strolls through ancient streets and along the river, creates a memorable experience. There are plenty of cosy restaurants for evening meals, and the general ambience is relaxed and pleasant. For families, staying slightly outside the immediate historical centre, but still within easy reach, offers a good balance. These areas often provide hotels with more space, sometimes with facilities like swimming pools or larger gardens, while still being a short walk or drive from Tábor's attractions.

The best time to go to Bečice is during the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September). These months offer pleasant weather, ideal for exploring the South Bohemia Region's countryside and historic towns. You'll find comfortable temperatures for outdoor activities like cycling or walking, without the intense heat or larger crowds of mid-summer. The landscapes are particularly beautiful during these periods, with spring blossoms or autumn colours. For those interested in cultural events and a livelier atmosphere, July and August are also good, though you can expect more visitors and slightly higher temperatures.
