  • Standing under the Natural Bridge in Slade Kentucky.
Its namesake natural bridge is the centerpiece of the park. The natural sandstone arch spans 78 ft (24 m) and is 65 ft (20 m) high. The natural process of weathering formed the arch over millions of years. The park is approximately 2,300 acres (9 km2) of which approximately 1,200 acres (5 km2) is dedicated by the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves as a nature preserve.

  • This is sky bridge. The most massive arch in Red River. it spans over a hundred feet and about 50 feet in the air. Probably the most famous arch in Red River, it has been seen in movies. Many astro-photographers flock here because of it's structure and clear skyline. If you get a chance, the trail is only .8 miles and very much worth it. You first walk across the top of the arch, it is so big that you are halfway across before you notice your not just on a narrow rock path. then you circle around to be under the arch.

Absolutely perfect!

The cabin was beautiful and spotlessly clean. Avis and Samuel were wonderful hosts. Avis stopped by to see if we needed anything and even invited us to their grandson's graduation party. We will definitely stay again the next time we're in the area.

Warm, cozy, and very helpful owner

Great little house, perfect location for rock climbing. Nice and warm (we stayed there in December), hot water is plentiful. And the owner was so helpful: she called me before the trip to reorganize which house I would stay in to save some money and avoid a house-switch; and she was kind enough to refund me for a day when I had to unexpectedly leave a day early. I'd definitely stay here again!

Amazing stay!

I’m a climber that was staying at this cabin with my friends. The cabin was extremely clean and organized. The owner, Avis, was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. There’s a fire pit across from the cabin that my friends and I used during our stay. We had such a great time, especially since this cabin is only 15 minutes from the place we climbed at in RRG. Will definitely be coming back, as well as recommending this place to other climbers.

Weekend getaway

This property is so clean and true tobits description. The only thing i would note is not it is not a private cabin. It is on a street with several cabins etc but that did not end up making a difference as it was so quiet and such a beautiful area. The cabin itself meets all expectations.
