"We brought our cat and stayed in a pet-friendly rooms. The kitchen/living area had lots of storage space, refrigerator, small stovetop, microwave and utensils/cups/etc that were convenient. Dish soap, a scrub sponge and a drying towel were provided for clean up. However, whomever previously had our room didn’t thoroughly wash everything, so we had to pre-wash some things before we could cook. Also, water pressure at the kitchen sink was low at times. The room decor was cute. I would have liked a mirror in which I could see myself in the bedroom, as I ‘m short and the mirrors mounted on the wall were mostly for decor and very high up. The bathroom had little counter space, but the large bedroom dressers (great for storing clothes and shoes) made a good surface to store extras that could be taken into the bathroom when needed. The jet tub in the bathroom was nice to try once, but noisy. I preferred to shower. I knew the room had no AC. But I didn’t know we’d have a monsoon pattern that would make still, warm and humid air, and that we wouldn’t get typical breezes to cool us down as much with the windows open. The portable fan in the bedroom helped a lot. Another in the kitchen/living area would have made things better for cooling areas at the same time. The property itself looked nicer than any nearby us. The pool was a bit dirty, but probably due to recent rain we had. I would have preferred a warmer hot tub, but understand others may not like it as warm in summer."

"This little place is great for a couple. It’s not lakeside it’s on the other side of the road. The best part was the fast response in communication with the host and we were able to check in a little early, which was great. It has a small kitchen, which I was able to make meals in for just the two of us. The bathroom was nice with no problems. TV worked well. The bed was ok just too firm for our liking. Tahoe is cool enough no need for AC. Check out the ice cream down the road and the pizza right there. We spent our time in the woods and lake so not in room much."

"Fabulous view right on the water.Host was responsive.Quaint little cottage. It should be made clear that the sofa bed does not pull out and there is only one bed. More beach towels would be nice and maybe some updated beach chairs. Hairdryer was barely working; a standard size hairdryer should be the bare minimum. The shower was not draining correctly. The cottage could use a deep clean to get rid of cobwebs.Otherwise fabulous stay."

"Dear Tahoe Vista Inn, Thank you for a lovely stay last week. The views of the lake from our living area and adjoining bedroom were the best part of our vacation. The main downside of the rental is the full bathroom. Although a sign is posted by the bathtub/shower as to safety precautions, it was not enjoyable, and we hardly used it due to it being extremely dangerous. Our first day in Tahoe, our adult daughter developed second degree burns that kept her bedridden the entire week. She was in desperate need of being able to clean her legs to keep from infection. As you may be able to imagine, this was absolutely miserable for her. My husband and I are both athletic, and this was still a scary ordeal for us. Please post pictures on your site of the bathroom. We fear one of your future guests will have an accident and completely ruin their time in Lake Tahoe. Had we known the set up with the bathtub/shower, this would not have been a rental we would have chosen. The wallpaper in the main water closet is not looking extremely happy anymore, either, and could use some attention. The rental is tastefully decorated and definitely felt homey. Thank you. Not due to any fault of yours, we had difficulty sleeping on both Wednesday and Thursday nights because of the road resurfacing. Our daughter's bedroom was only 15 feet away from the road action, making two nights of our stay even that much more unenjoyable. When we originally placed the reservation, we did ask whether there would be any construction on or close to the property. We were told that there would not be. We imagine the city's work schedule may not have been known to you at that time; however, we believe it may have been known when we called a few weeks prior to our stay and asked the same question, receiving the same answer. Again, we were thankful for our stay with you. The lake views, the air conditioning, and the couch were the best part of our week. As far as whether we would book Tahoe Vista Inn #6 a second time, we may....only if the bathroom situation was updated in the safety category. Sincerely, The Barbers"
