"Mljet is a gem of an island and these apartments are just as good. they are clean safe and well located for both the town of pomena and the national park and lakes. we had a side sea and harbour view which was lovely in the evening and for breakfast. having the option to make your own food is great as well because mljet can be a bit expensive for eating out. But if you do eat out you are steps away from about 15 places. Terra Solis is right below you on the sea front and you get a small discount here if you are a Lorena guest. the owners are wonderful and have made a beautiful new 2 person suite on the ground d floor that will be available soon so look out for that!"

"The apartment itself was very good value for the money, especially compared to other places we stayed in Croatia. It had a beautiful view, a nice balcony, and all the amenities we needed. The only notable downsides to the space itself were the very thin walls, which made it easy to hear neighboring units, and bedding that felt somewhat rough and less comfortable than expected. Unfortunately, the communication and check-in process were frustrating. The property appears to be managed remotely rather than by a local host, and responses were extremely slow. We received no help regarding early bag storage, and because Expedia did not clearly provide the address, we arrived on the island with nowhere to go and no way to contact the property. We only received a response through Expedia chat, and not until two days later. In the end, we had to locate the property ourselves. The apartment itself is nice, but the poor communication and difficult check-in experience significantly detracted from our stay. If I were booking again, I would choose a property with a local host or more responsive management."

"Guest House Kiko was exactly as advertised. Room was clean and host communicated well on how to meet once we arrived. The location was ideal for visiting Mljet National Park (which is just a few steps away) and staying in Pomena with a spectacular view. The restaurant attached had a lot of charm, friendly staff and great food."

"The bedroom was spacious and we also had a lovely balcony with views down to the harbour. We were met by our host on arrival and he showed us on a map some places to see in the national park. Due to ferry times, we arrived before the normal check-in time but our room was still ready which was appreciated. The bed was a bit soft but we still managed to sleep well. The window shutters helped to keep it nice and dark too and the air conditioning worked well. The kitchenette was small but well equipped, although we didn't cook that much as the range stocked by the local shop was not that wide! The one downside was the water for showering and washing up which was tepid most of the time. "

"We were very close to the national park entrance. The park is beautiful. Loved the waterside restaurants. The accommodation was good particularly each bedroom having ensuite facilites. The over ripe grapes on the vine next to the balcony attracted a lot of wasps. Be aware that there are a lot of steps up to the accommodation."
