"I have rented a number of houses through VRBO. The Petite Maison is by far the best. It was in perfect condition when we arrived. Located in the beautiful village of Beynac -et-Cazenac on the Dordogne River it felt like we had gone back in time. A very friendly village, we felt welcome everywhere we went - restaurants, the Pharmacy, the local market. Plus, there are many wonderful day trips just short drives away. I hope to be back again one day."

"A charming single story hotel in the countryside with views of at least 4 castles from the property. Our room had access to the patio(terasse) where we could sit outside and enjoy the weather. Easy drive to go out for dinner to multiple charming towns and villages. Very friendly and helpful staff, good continental breakfast. We liked it so much we decided to stay 2 extra nights. Good place to base yourself and explore the region."

"The house is absolutely stunning full of antiques in keeping with the medieval era. The view through the window over the river was magnificent. All the beds had comfortable mattresses and pillows, and it was very dark and quiet and we slept well. The size of the house was perfect for our family of five. The kitchen had very good for facilities for cooking. You do need to be quite fit to stay at Mont Joie as it is at the top of the hill that you need to walk up and within the house itself, there are two long flights of stairs. "

The property was perfect – just a short walk into Castelnaud for morning pastries and close enough to enjoy an afternoon swim. The location made it easy to pack in so many activities, and our whole family loved every moment. Check-in was seamless, and the host was excellent with communication and helpful advice throughout our stay. We will definitely be returning – highly recommended!"
