It was very nice to have the fridge in our room since we stopped for wine and cheese in town. The bed was very comfortable and we slept in which was needed after a long day of walking. Lots of lovely old furniture, but new good quality bedlinen and towels. Very clean. We mostly cooked for ourselves, and the kitchen was well-equipped for such numbers. Outside, there's a new tennis court by the pool, both are great. (The free-standing pool in the main photo has been replaced by a much better one, and the badminton/volleyball court is no longer there). The outside dining furniture has also been upgraded from the white plastic in the photos and was very nice. It was perfect for Puy du Fou but also in a lovely area to explore - though we mostly stayed at home to enjoy the facilities. One thing to note - the pool and tennis are 'communal' which means you may be sharing them with another large party in the other half of the chateau. With a bit of polite communication that was not a problem, especially with so much fine weather." The breakfast was a buffet and a number of the offerings were empty or nearly empty on the first morning as we were shortly before 9am, which was a disappointment but we arrived early on the second morning and everything was available.
