(670 reviews) The Grove Inn was a comfortable and convenient stay. The room was clean, the bedding was very comfortable, and I slept extremely well. The location was easy to access and worked well for my plans in San Francisco. That said, the overall feel was more simple than elegant, and there was a noticeable room odor that detracted from the experience. While it was perfectly fine for a short stay, it didn’t quite match the ‘boutique’ feel suggested in some reviews. Overall, a decent option if comfort and location are your priorities. The social space seems to have never fully recovered from Covid, as there was no bar at all, and while it said that breakfast was available, the dining area was "dead". For someone like me who didn't appreciate that the area was not at all car friendly, the parking situation was expensive and less than convenient. The nighttime environment was a bit sketchy, and I feel that perhaps a locked front entrance requiring your key card for entrance would have made me feel safer.
